Now the PI on the Lockette cross route before Kearse catch could have been big.

I'm still not sure what the fuck happened. It went from Tyree 2.0 to game over sooo fast.

Not a fan of either team, nor did I bet anything on the game so I had no vested interest on who won. I think it was a well played game with some dumb mistakes by both teams. But all in all I thought it was entertaining.

watching New England not call a timeout, i felt like all the genius things were about to evaporate before my eyes. BB had the deer in the headlight look on the sidelines then THAT HAPPENED.
what the fuck happened? how? why? what the fuck?

I kept trying to think of reasons why the smartest coach in football wasn't calling a timeout and couldn't come up with a single one that made sense. But then I remembered that he knew who was running the show on the other sideline.

Re: NFL Thread
That just seemed like a no win play to run on 2nd and goal from the 1. Personally, I would have expected a flag and offensive PI if he'd caught it (for the pick on the play). So you have three possible outcomes: incomplete, intercepted, complete but with a 10 yard penalty resulting in 2nd and goal from the 11 (dramatically decreasing your chances to score.
Going for the bump/pick play slant TD throw is a desperation, nothing else is working, let's hope they don't call offensive PI on us type of play, which was more than unnecessary at that point.

Not since the Devils knocked the Rangers out of the playoffs three years ago have I ever let out a caterwaul like I did on Butler's interception. I definitely was more excited for the 2001 Super Bowl, but the ending was drawn out over a few minutes. This? I had head-in-hands.
Re: NFL Thread
congrats trendon.
its not even like they stopped Lynch on 1st down, he got like 4 yards and almost scored!!!! my head, my heart, my eyes, i'm so confused

Re: NFL Thread
Yeah I'm such an idiot for thinking it was pass interference...it was so obviously not pass interference
It was such an obvious call that Fox had Mike Pereira do a video discussing it. Hmmm.....that would actually mean it WAS debatable.
He stated the reason it wasn't pass interference was that it was shoulder to shoulder. He confirmed that the DB did make contact prior to anybody touching the ball, but the "shoulder to shoulder" contact was what kept it from being illegal. So I stand corrected, but it was a valid argument--contact was clearly made prior to the ball being touched.
