Steve A. Garban, chairman of Penn State’s Board of Trustees, reached out to gauge Virginia Coach Mike London’s interest in succeeding Joe Paterno on Wednesday, before the board announced the firing of the Nittany Lions’ longtime coach, according to a person with direct knowledge of the situation.

The person, who requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter, said London has no interest in leaving Virginia and declined the overture. In fact, the person said, London would prefer to sign an extension to remain with the Cavaliers beyond the terms of his current five-year contract, which expires Dec. 7, 2014.

Yup. London was listed at 5/1 odds by Bodog, I think it was, as the next coach. Meyer leads the way at 2/1. But I just saw his father passed and he won't even be in State College this weekend.

BOOM

I hope they crucify this program. I'm sorry Reign, but I hope they get destroyed.

No need to apologize to me, they'll get what they deserve if it is true.

On that note though, I'll never understand why anyone would want to see a university's athletic program blown up. The people it harms the most are the players. I'd much rather see them hammered with financial burdens and job loss for those that actually commit the infractions. I never thought OSU should get the death penalty, nor Miami... or any other school. There are other ways to handle it that don't effect players.

Exactly Reign.

If everyone with any type of involvement is fired and gone, then why in the world should we punish everyone taking over?

I don't like that idea at all.

Then I would include the boosters who had ANYTHING to do with this as well. Not only should they be thrown in prison, but barred from ever associating with the university as well.

So, here are Sandusky's options, in odds format. Would you agree?

Go to jail: -10000
Suicide: -1000
Die (non-homicide): -500
Flee: +2500
Murdered: +5000
Found Not Guilty/Absolved: +75,000

im quite sure this has been posted in here, but i stopped with this thread 6 or 8 pages ago. Just found it interesting:

In April 2005, Centre County (Pa.) district attorney Ray Gricar, who decided not to bring child-assault charges against Jerry Sandusky after an incident with a young boy in 1998, disappeared without a trace in Pennsylvania and has never been heard from since. His car was found in Lewisburg, Pa., near the Susquehanna River, and his laptop computer was found in the river.

In May 1996, Gricar's brother Roy, who lived in southwest Ohio, disappeared not long after being fired from his job in Dayton. His body was found days later in the Great Miami River. His car was found parked near the Great Miami River, and authorities ruled his death a suicide.
