I went to read about Gordon expecting to see he got a DUI but he can't even drink? That's kind of odd to me.

Wasn't ray rice almost allowed back in the league this year after an 8 game ban but this guy can't drink at all?

its the terms of his agreement. he signed off on it. it wasn't important to him clearly. i give a lot of sympathy to people for mistakes but he doesn't deserve it in this case. he needs sympathy in terms of him getting help for his problem, but not for him getting a chance to earn a living playing football.

Let's get back to hating on Goodell:

http://www.gq.com/sports/201502/roger-g ... rentPage=1
As for his relationship with his protégé, Tagliabue says, "We haven't talked much since I left. It's been his decision. Bountygate didn't help." In our conversation, Tagliabue seemed disappointed, and a bit sad, about the sorry state of the game he ran for seventeen years.

It's just odd to me is all. He clearly knew the rules and does need some serious guidance.

Whatever you do Pat, don't say it's a dumb rule or else everything you say after that will be glossed over :)

Wanted to go back and revisit the elite or not conversation regarding Packer WR's....

http://espn.go.com/espn/feature/story/_ ... -bowl-team

Shel Notes
Spoiler!
Both Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb are listed under the elite category

Alcohol is the only drug your body builds a dependence too. If hes an alcoholic, he cant just up and quit, there could be some serious long term effects (stroke and such) that come along with it.

Why God why!!! I bet Jsence cares about this breakdown.

If top 10 ish makes you elite, then yes, I would have to back off my stance, though I obviously don't agree that being the 10th best or even worst at a position in the NFL makes you elite.

NFL appears to have their guy who tampered with the footballs.

If this guy dishes it out , this ridiculous story could get real interesting, while still being ridiculous.

If top 10 makes you elite, then Russell Wilson would then have to be elite as well.

comparing elite apples to elite oranges here. theres 32 NFL QBs, theres what, 2-3 WRs/team in most primary sets? so 32x3 = 96. 10/32 and 10/96 are 2 completely different animals.

It's amazing that you can be the 10th best in the world at anything and not be considered "elite", which on a sidenote is a word that espn has made me hate

How crazy would this thread be if Seeit was the guy behind this debacle? Granted, that would mean CLE would be in the AFC Title game, so it's impossible, but just imagine!!!

Brandon Browner on Sherman and Early Thomas
Here is what Browner said in an interview with ESPN's Josina Anderson: "Those guys are tough. At the end of the game, Sherman was holding his arm like he had a sling on it. But at the end of the day, this is about the Super Bowl.I'm gonna tell my teammates, 'Go hit that elbow. Go hit that shoulder. Most definitely. Try to break it if you can.' You're gonna be my best friend after the game, but I know you want the Super Bowl just as bad as I do."
BountyGate 2.0!!!
