If this came about, same story, but about Seattle, it's barely a story, I'm guessing.

Because Seattle doesn't have an Elite Quarterback, so it is obvious it wouldn't be a story. And I don't mean that snarky...Tom Brady shouldn't need to have a ball underinflated to do what he can do. Now, take the fact you have Edelmann and Amendola catching balls, you may believe that they would have a hard time catching an inflated ball. Sheesh, I think it's funny how big of a deal this has become. And I also think it's funny how people like Brad Johnson are quick to point out that they bent the rules when they played and that makes it a nonissue. What is going to come of this is a new rule about how the balls are handled pregame, just like the rules have changed about the kicking balls.

1) Horsy Nelson
2) Pat bringing up some random WR into the argument out of left field, when he has nothing to do with what was being discussed
3) Pat not getting anybody to bite the first time he insinuated that I'm supporting a player because he went to UK (not because he's a Pro Bowl level player), so he posted it again a page later, and still nobody biting

The difference with the Brad Johnson incident is that what was done wasn't specifically against the rules. From what I read, in the Superbowl the teams use the same balls and all the balls were scuffed so no advantage went to either team. If what the Patriots are being accused of is true then that is specifically against the rules and therefore cheating. Does anyone who isn't a Colts fan actually think it affected the game? No. But the intent was to give their QB an advantage by breaking the rules.

Listening to sports radio this morning they made this same comment. Since Belichick is basically saying "I didn't know, and I'm learning more about the ball preparation than I ever knew" is deflecting the issue to someone else. Whether intentional or not, most are now saying that since he is wiping his hands clean that it has to be Brady that asked for this. But the biggest thing they said was, whether he knew or not, saying he had no idea basically guarantees that there won't be a quick resolve and that he will have no repercussions for the Super Bowl and that a long drawn out investigation will be done lasting longer that the week and a half now before the game.
