Once again the AI has a weak bench hitter, really only there for his defensive prowess, PH for a very solid bat. The dude is not on my pinch hitter list. WHY???!!!
Go in to player strategy and click “never lift for pinch hitter” on all the guys that you don’t want subbed out

and Seattle did exactly what I was afraid they would....
I watched the first game. You had runnings on base with less then 2 outs early a ton of times. I was lucky to win that one. Yes i am the guy that hide's the score's and look's at the game haha early in the pandemic when we had no sports i started this.
I
thought I had a pretty solid lineup vs. LHP and would at least get a split.
But ultimately my rotation is going to be my downfall.

Looking at the league and my team in general. Why are our hitters who are in say 50 60 contact range so poor at hitting. I found this article and a 47 contact guy is a fringe avg guy in mlb. Idk i just found it interesting.
https://blogs.fangraphs.com/scouting-ex ... ing-scale/
Because with OOTP, ratings slowly grow over time, sort of like a power creep. It's the game's way of signifying players get consistently better as time goes by, which has been true over time. 60 contact in 2040 is equal to or worse than 50 in 2010.
This seems correct; which pisses me off. Won't find that info in the manual anywhere. 60 contact in 2010 should be the same as 60 contact in 3076. Absolutely stupid for it to work any other way IMO.
It works this way when you have relative ratings on, but not absolute.

More than happy with what my team has accomplished so far, but it was just a matter of time until we came down to earth. I won't be holding my breath on the next sim
