Not sure, the only number I really see change in during the course of the season is projected gate revenue but it usually just changes by a couple million once you find the perfect number. During rollover the number will be corrected to what you actually made.

You are confused because he is not being truthful!!!!!!

At the end of the day it has always gone of revenue and I am leaving it off revenue. Playoff revenue was never part of it. If your revenue went down it is either because of moves you made or the way you did your ticket prices. This has nothing to do with owner personalities or me.

In our past, certainly the old way of the team owner getting to the offseason and saying: "You did a tremendous job last year. You're kicking ass and I expect you will keep doing so. I'll give you another $15 million this coming season to kick even more ass. Good luck!"

But even when that happened it was just because your fan interest went up so your revenue did and that was the games way of delivering the news. It still equaled your revenue

Did we ever figure this out?

So, if you took my team after week 1 as an example, is this how it will work:

Average gate revenue: $550,000 per game -- Projected gate revenue for the year: $45.1 million
Season ticket revenue: $25.4 million
Media revenue: $43 million
Revenue sharing: $15.7 million
Merchandise revenue: $205,000 per game -- Projected merchandise revenue for the year: $16.6 million

Projected revenue: $145.7 million

So, that would be what you'd set (if the per game numbers held) at the end of the month?

Also, I expect my gate revenue to tank going forward because I don't play another Saturday or Sunday home game the rest of the month... unlucky!

So that drops me to $130 mil, which is exactly what my current budget is. Interestingly.

I don’t have game in front of me but if you go to accounting tab whatever it says your projected revenue is for this season I will change it to at the end of the month while rounding up to the nearest million. In your example it would be 146 million

Revenue sharing paid was never a factor in to your budget.

And that projected revenue does not matter based on April schedule, it projects from your fan interest and ticket prices for the entire season

It is really easy guys. Go to accounting screen and see what your projected revenue is for this season. Whatever that is at end of April I will make that your projected budget as that is exactly what the game would have done before it got eff'd up.

Why did I choose April?

So everyone had a few sims to lock in ticket prices. For those that do not know you can change prices and immediately go to the accounting page and see projected gate revenue and find the perfect number. For me it was 29.64.

Playoff Revenue?

It has never been part of your budget calculation. You are rewarded by making playoffs as that revenue goes to you as cash. You do not get cash for it as well as it going to a budget increase.

Rev Sharing?

Does not subtract from your budget either, once again it is given/taken from cash.

Not a single thing I just said is a change, it is how it is always done but I just have to do some of it manually now.

How is our budget calculated?

The same, it just stopped working because of a few factors but most likely the amount of debt we have always allowed guys to go in to and always have a few in that predicament.

There is a setting under our league settings for how are budgets set with two choices. One is "Owner sets budget" the other is "Revenue available" which is what we have always set and is still set.
