As has been proven in this very thread, I could say the sky is blue and people would call me a homer and say it's light blue.

Pat, do me a favor, go to the college football thread ;-) then say you aren't a fanboi

Shel, yes it does scare me. That's why I'm glad WVU ran their mouth  last night was first time all season they didn't let up for forty entire minutes. Doesn't matter if it's the sweet 16, I doubt they would've been that fired up for a team like WVU in a different circumstance.

But, I'm just an idiot, I know nothing about my team.

This has been like this for ten years. I'd understand if you were younger but you're a grown ass man. It's not like one or two people give you shit. The whole board has forever. Like Dave said, enjoy the ride!!

Really like Sabonis... I've seen quite a few Gonzaga games and think he's such a huge part of this team. I really don't know of a comparable player (his dad, lol). Good passer, extremely efficient, excellent rebounding position... but not overly athletic.

Karnowski and Wiltjer can pass pretty well too... 2 solid feeds from the big Polish guy in the last few minutes.

Wait, that monster that threw 2 behind the back passes is Arvydas Sabonis's son?

Just typed the same thing only to realize you had already said it. Figured there can't be too many Sabonis' out there!

The kid has been on the NBA radar since he was in his mid-teens, based on what I was reading. Draft sites say he'd be drafted this year, if he was in the draft. (late 1st-mid 2nd) I think he could be a great college player, but I don't see him making an impact in the NBA. At least not with the lack of athleticism that I've seen so far this season. He doesn't move his feet well on defense and doesn't seem even remotely explosive.

I don't think I've ever stayed up that late to finish watching a game. It was brutal to try and sleep after that adrenaline rush

Actually, before he got hurt so many times and lost his explosiveness and agility, Sabonis was as athletic a 7 footer as anyone had ever seen. The problem is that most Americans never got to see that because he was playing in the Soviet Union and in Europe. There are some grainy old clips on youtube that show what he used to be. We never got to see him until after he was a shell of his former self and the Russians didn't care about him leaving anyway. He was considered the best player in the world for a short time there in the 80's before Jordan really hit his prime and as Magic and Bird were on the decline.

Michigan State is the only school in NCAA history to win a bowl game in football and reach the Sweet 16 in basketball four consecutive years

In the last 17 years, Michigan State has participated in the Elite 8 more times (9) than it hasnt (8)

Also too busy watching mix tapes to hear anyone's hate. Weasel will talk to you after they're finished cutting down the nets.
