LSU picks up commitments from not one, not two, but three five-star WRs this week, including the #1 and #2 wideouts in the nation. This gives LSU four WRs who will walk onto campus next season rated 81, 80, 79, and 79.
Add to that the 82 ovr dual-threat QB (#3 in nation), the #1 MLB rated 79 ovr, and the three 78 rated ATH (all of whom will likely project higher than that at CB, S, or WR...although one has 95 speed, 90 throw power, and 78 throw accuracy

), and this is without a doubt the best recruiting class I've had in any OD on this game. And I still have a shot at a half dozen others who will walk onto campus rated 75 or higher if I'm able to sign them. This could be the beginning of a dynasty class for the Tigers.

#9 Oregon eeks out a road win after losing their 6'3 Speedy Stud Heisman Hopeful for 4 weeks on the first play of the game against a #6 ranked Washington team that never gave up.. With Capps out of the game Oregon managed to get every single receiver and TE involved in the game and rode the back of speedy HB Ayele Forde for 160 rushing yards. Washing down by 18 going into the 4th quarter rallied to get within 3 with a minute left and recovered the onside kick after 2 consecutive 3 and outs by the Ducks and 2 great drives by the huskies. Oregon managed 3 sacks in a row while Washington was looking to put the game away and on 3rd and 30 Oregon intercepted the ball to put it away.
Hell of a game.

Gonna be another crazy finish.....FSU falls from #1 to #3 in the BCS, ND up to #1, and LSU goes from 4th to 2nd. LSU still has a 8-2 Arkansas team visiting, and it'll come down to the conference title games to decide the 2nd spot, as ND's lack of a conference title game looks to have them automatically in....unless the conference title game winners win so convincingly (or beat good enough teams) that they leapfrog ND.

To be fair, Notre Dame has been number 1 in the coaches poll since week 2 or 3. They were number 1 in the media poll up until 2 weeks ago. So if they get leapfrogged it would be a travesty.

How so?
If one of us plays a top-ten team in a conference title game and wins (thus having to play an extra game) and plays a tougher schedule overall than ND, then it wouldn't be a travesty. Maybe ND should give up their independent status and move to a conference, then they'll get said 13th game and avoid such issues in the future.
The ND coach should talk to the commish and see about making that happen
Btw, if my normal power opponents weren't laying eggs this year (Tennessee is 2-9, Texas is 5-6, Auburn is 4-6, Bama is 5-6), I might have an SOS as tough or tougher than yours. IMO based on teams played/beaten and results, it should be you vs me in the title game; however, I don't think I'm going to make it in.

Complete BCS BS once again, but then again, you have to beat UGA still..............

You think a team should be jumped for the number 1 spot without losing a game after beating 6 currently ranked teams and another that was ranked at the beginning of the season? ND clearly had the toughest schedule going by ranked teams at the end of the season including back to back user games against 2 of them. Ohio State would have been a user game also but he backed out of the league.
I say nay nay.

I'm of the opinion that the poll system as it has been used over the past 30 years is flawed anyways. A team shouldn't "stay put" simply because they don't lose; and there shouldn't be a conveyer belt when a team loses. It should be "which team is the best?" ranking, not a "well these teams didn't lose so they don't change" which is what most people view it as. That's why I'm of the mindset of "how so".
Again, if Team A/B plays 13 games and play just as tough of a schedule as Team C, and all things are equal in terms of talent, I'm going always give the edge to Team A/B because they played more games and thus had to overcome more, and if the results on the field show they are the better team then they should go. I'd have to sit down and look over SOS, results for common opponents, etc to see who I felt were most deserving this season, but truth be told I'm not sure it would matter, because odds are we'll have a curveball....and no matter what, our opinion doesn't matter. The polls in this game are weird. Heck, teams that were 5-6 this week got votes, so....yeah.

They didn't. Each only played 4 teams with a winning record. Notre Dame played 6 top 25 teams. 2 of them user games on the road.
Don't count Va Tech out either. He's beaten a top 5 team and has just as many wins against teams with winning records as the other 2. He has a legit shot to jump ND also.

LSU/FSU/VT will have to win over a top 5 team to make it in. As for the user game part, that doesn't factor into the SOS for the computer polls. As for them beating "ranked teams", this is where again (my real life opinion coming in beyond the video game realm) this whole thing is skewed. For example, you beat a ranked Navy team. Navy is ranked because they are 8-2. Would Navy be ranked if they played in the SEC or had a tougher schedule? Is Navy REALLY one of the 17 best teams in the nation? Or are they just ranked up there because they have one of the 17 best records? I'm pretty sure the 5-6/6-5 Alabama team I beat recently would give that Navy team fits....but because Bama plays in a tougher conference and had a lot of big injuries (and faced two user teams), they are 5-6 and thus unranked.
My point is, we need a playoff, and until we get one, or until we up the difficulty to Heisman (with sliders maybe?) and make it harder for us to have such a logjam at the top, we will probably always end up with a situation like this where someone will go unbeaten and end up feeling like they got screwed, and it will end up being "who started ranked the highest the earliest" making it to the title game.
Personally I doubt it'll matter to me in the end, because I'm not gonna make it anyways. I'll probably end up getting a sim loss in the SEC title game so....oh well. Good luck to whoever makes it, wish we could watch it.
