There are plenty of things to blame SVG about with regards to scheme, having Zion leak out in transition while still being a top 4 rebounding team would not be one of those things lol.

They are in 11th because they aren't good enough to be 10th or better. Your star is a 1 dimensional player and is not a #1 option for a playoff team. He's a #2 option at best right now. Until he can extend a defense to worry about any kind of shot outside of 10' (or get a player that can be the #1 option) they will always be a fringe playoff team

You can build a team around the top two to win a championship. Unless Zion can get on one of these super teams he'll never win anything. It's just the way the game is played now. One of the reasons I cannot get into the NBA. Long gone are the days of Kobe, Duncan, Jordan....etc

I don’t know if he will win a championship because it’s really fucking hard to win a championship, especially in that market. The dude is 20 and doing things we’ve never seen before with an amazing and unique skill set. Based on his trajectory he absolutely can be the best guy in a title team down the road.

This speaks to the mindset of people, whether they're just happy and can make the most out of things, or just live to complain about shit.

You can choose to appreciate and enjoy seeing a 1 of 1 talent with a skillset we've never seen before. The way Zion plays basketball is really good and also in a way we have legit never seen before in the history of the NBA.

One can choose to just enjoy and appreciate that. Or one can choose to just be cynical with some old man talk like worrying about rebounds and whether he'll win a title during his career....he's 20 years old.

imagine still thinking about a basketball team in terms of pigeonholing "positions"

i could be wrong as i dont following the NBA like i did when i was younger, but from my perspective a lot of times its not PG - SG - SF -PF - C anymore

its like "PG" - SF SF SF and then some sort of 'big' to clog the lane on defense
