Would this happen if you have Hoffman as the backup C? And then have whoever you would want in the backup DH spot.
As long as you don't have a utility 2 or defensive sub set for that position, I believe the manager would put your backup C in.

Sheltown has 11 Very Popular or better players, Washington 12. Obviously other factors play into it but those are the two highest totals league wide at first glance. The WS winner and then one of the all time great franchises seemed locks to me. Monday musings that's all

Yea, I have 11 extremely popular players with local popularity. Not sure anyone else comes close.

Popular players play a huge part in building interest for sure. I was just surprised because with sustained success you can usually lose popular players and it not drop like Boston did for a long time and I have as well. That’s what shocked me about Washington
