I'm not going to be sucked in by you two! Up until recently the Lakers have turned him into basically a role player.
lets say Houston has the cap space (or Dallas) this offseason, and get him, are they closer to a title?

Victory #1 on the day. Let's move on.
And up until recently he was used as a role player, what does that mean? His splits are pretty comparable this year. They've gone slightly up, which would be expected for a guy coming off of back surgery, no?

i mean, if you put michael jordan on a team and decided you were never going to give him the ball, does that make him less talented or not as good?
his usage rate is at all time lows. they don't use him nearly as much as he was used in Orlando. In Orlando his usage rate was in the 22-25 range and he was in the top 5-7 in efficiency every year not to mention he is the best defender in the league. this year his usage is around like 18 i believe and he's got a broken back.
there is only 1 ball on a court, when you play w/ a guy like Kobe who has the ball as much as he does (top 3 in usage just about every yr) there has to be some expectation for a drop off.
its very similar to Bosh. Bosh is one of the better players in the entire league, but he can't get the opportunities necessary to show that. Similar to what Harden was last year in OKC.

Morey would bend over backwards to get him, assuming he gets approval on his health

I used to hate Bosh but cant deny it, he is extremely underrated (if that is even possible to say with his contract)

Lebron is better at defense than perfect computer model defenders

Was at the game.
Heat looked as bad as could possibly be in the first half, and the Cavs were taking it to them. 2nd half, Heat woke up and Cavs stopped attacking and just tried to sit on the lead and milk the clock. Couldn't have played the first half any better and the 2nd half any worse.
It was like the Heat were trying to see how far down they could come back from. Started raining 3's and that was it
Guy ran on the court late in the 3rd with a shirt that said "We Miss You" on the front and "2014 please come back" on the back. Took security a while to notice, and once the cuffed him LeBron came at patted him on the head LOL

In past 15 years, teams trailing by 27 in 2nd half are 6-2013

Kobe - great player, but simply not in the discussion with the other 2.
Lebron - I bet the only folks saying "he'll never be as good as MJ" are the same you'll see talking about how "everything was better back in my day", I'm sure of it.
And for the love of God, how did this link I posted not get one single reply?

Because the original ESPN article is better.

If I waited to get all of my news from these boards during the offseason, well I'd still be waiting.
