I think the bracket setup in the post was a bit confusing... but I did get a kick out of some of them.

My favs are probably, DeAndre Jordan, Mike Dunleavy, Hansbrough, John Kerry, Lou Holtz, and Ben Roethlisberger. And the Rivera one about wearing the lei was spot on, especially with those transition lense glasses he always has on.

Whit gets the game!

The Big Ben one is pretty great as well.

Probability that an Arizona or UNC vs Gonzaga championship game could happen... like under 5%... but I'm still going to root for it! :-)

#2) Arizona: Jack Del Rio - Stepdad who tries too hard to be called dad vs #2) Gonzaga: Kendrick Perkins - Looks like a pharaoh

or

#4) North Carolina: Donnie Walsh - Looks like he's in town to kill a guy vs #2) Gonzaga: Kendrick Perkins - Looks like a pharaoh

Not bad, I'll take Gonzaga!

i'm still so pissed i fell into the Virginia trap. the right side of that bracket was so gross i didn't know who else to take. to be fair if i didn't take Virginia in that region i would have taken Northern Iowa.

but i took Virginia to beat Gonzaga in the final 4.

my final 4 was Wisconsin over Wichita St and Virginia over Gonzaga. now i'm just rooting i get a Wichita St vs Kentucky game. its really the only game in the tourney i would love to see. actually scratch that, Wisconsin vs Kentucky would be great too

What made it a trap? I didnt watch much cbb at all this year, but looking through some of the computer/efficiency rankings it looks like they had a more than justifiable seed. Was there something out there (the late Anderson injury) that gave you a red flag heading into the tourney?

There's really none, that's why I mentioned to kinda ignore it.

The way the show does it, they seed them by their favorites, so obviously the ones like they most get #1 seed and so on and so forth..

Then if a team wins, they mention that team/certain guy moves on and they tell you the team/guy that has been eliminated.

they can't score it well enough and when you play limited possession slow down style you get vulnerable in single elimination if you get cold (as do all teams, but when you can't score its exaggerated since a 10 pt lead is almost insurmountable)

also the better teams you play the less likely they are to fall into your trap of strong defense. so that exposes the lack of an explosive offense.

they were incredibly efficient and a good team, but they struggled since the injury and if i had access to late season metrics i would guess Mich St's #'s were on par or better with them say the last month of the year (no clue if thats true, just guessing).

I took Virginia as well. I think it was more because I didn't believe in anyone else (even Louisville) in their region. Sadly, I also went head over heart in the other region, taking Duke over Gonzaga. I put Virginia in my championship, losing to Arizona.

WV's players may not be the smartest around

"Hey, team we're about to play, we don't think you guys play very hard, that's why we will beat you"

So you basically just dared the team with possibly 9 future NBA players, that hasn't lost a game yet, to play harder....sure, seems smart.

Is that what it needs for them to "play harder"?

If it is, seems like the WVU guy was spot on.

Just enjoy the ride man. You have the best team in the sport having a historic season. Don't stoop. :)

I'm confident that UK is going at max effort tonight, no matter what WVU players say.

let J have his moment. apparently Coach Cal desperately wants to go back to the NBA, so UK back to mediocrity awaits
