Totally agree. Everyone came to fight tonight. I don't know if I have ever I watched a main card where no one went to a decision. Only had two fights go the distance overall. That's pretty incredible with the way tons of guys have started fighting.

Ditto what everyone else said. A great night of fights, from the prelims to the main card. Boxing never has a night like that.

Uh, whatever. Ive never seen a boxing card where so many fights ended in finishes, from the prelims to the main event.

Name one card that had that many finishes top to bottom? Who's the ignorant one?

that's like saying name another soccer match that has as many points scored as last nights NBA finals game.
this year has been incredible in terms of action fights in boxing. so its an odd statement and doesn't really make sense considering they are completely different sports and they don't have the same payout or time structure.

No its not, since Boxing and MMA get compared a lot. Sat night there were 12 fights.
Ended in KO/TKO - 6
Submissions - 3
Decisions - 2
Ended due to injury -1
Ive watched boxing for along time and Ive never seen a fight card that had 9 out of 12 NOT go to the judges. Yes there have been some great fights this year in boxing, but not a fight card like that one.
Name a date and place boxing has had a card like that in recent history and Ill concede, otherwise, I stand by my statement.

I don't think a finish qualifies as a great fight. I've seen fights like Guida vs Tyson Griffin, to name one, that went the distance that was more exciting than a first round KO. Same thing is the case in Boxing. plenty of fights have gone the distance that have been wildly considered great fights.
The fact you lumped all boxing into a 7 word sentence doesn't it make it true and it makes you sound like the ignorant one even if you didn't meant to come across that way.
EDIT: Looks like dave came through before me.

They werent exciting just because of the finishes, for the most part everyone on the card came to fight, not just win rounds. The finishes were a by-product of that. Boxing hadnt delivered like that in a long time. Maybe in my opinion statement, I should have added "in my lifetime." (from the 70's to present) I wasnt exactly thinking about the bare-knuckle days.
But since Im ignorant and miss the point, Ill step aside.

ok, but I don't know what that has to do with anything being talked about here.
On a boxing card, you're lucky if you get one exciting fight, two would be extraordinary. If you don't have 2-3 on an MMA card, that card is basically viewed as a failure. You're almost never gonna see that in one night of boxing. You definitely will never see 5 like the UFC main card had Saturday. In boxing you get a great fight here, and one there, and one somewhere else. UFC generally has flurries of great fights. Yes, boxing is structured differently, the rules are diferrent, but at the end of the day the goal is the same: Finish your opponent or make the judges think you won. You obviously like boxing, and that's fine, but to claim that uf is making ignorant statements is actually pretty ignorant.
