Hey guys I'm not involved in this, but was just curious what site do you all run this on? Just curious because I was looking to join a public one. Do they have live online drafts like for NFL fantasy on espn.com?

Yes, but we decided to go on a wavier system. All the wavier requests that are made over the next week will be processed on
Tuesday, September 1 at 6:00 PDT. Any changes you want to amke after that should be by first come first serve up until kickoff. It should be like that each week. Wavier priority is reverse of the draft order.

just to be clear with the redshirts. We get two redshirt per year? Jimmy Clausen was a redshirt last season and I kept him so he stays with me as do my two new redshirts from this season's draft?

Yea, you get to pick two true freshman and/or redshirt freshman players every year and they stay on you team their entire college careers. Also the two guys you pick arent available to play this year.

Shavodrick Beaver

Jarvis Giles

Those are my keepers...

Any reason why the waiver requests are public? Shouldn't they be private until waiver date?

Waviers have gone for this week, looks like no one made any requests. You can still pick up players now until game time. if you had made a request and it didn't go through let me know, I'm not sure if things got changed when I made a change to the wavier system.

Everyone that had wavier requests for this week, go ahead and send them to me, I'll take care of them tonight.

Appartnetly, since they assume most people will do wavier priorty order based on season results (total points, wins/loss, etc), the wavier system doesn't actually start working until week 2, but I can do manual waviers this week.

Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz today confirmed that running back Jewel Hampton will miss the 2009 season with a knee injury.

All wavier requests have been processed, it went by priority order. If you want to pick up someone before kickoff, go ahead and make the request, and let me know so I can approve it in time.

Since I changed how we do keepers (letting you wait until right before the draft to choose 2 for the upcoming year), I've decided that under comissioner approval ONLY, you may be allowed to drop a keeper under certain special circumstances. As people put keeper status on a player that would be round 1 or 2 draft choice, I see no advantage at all to anyone if I allow that to happen, since you replace a round 1 type player with a round 21 type player, but I must approve of any changes to a keeper. This only applies to keepers, not to redshirted players.

Waviers on hold until I heard back from a coach, should be processed by lunch today.

Remember, especially new coaches, you are NOT allowed to drop a redshirted player, even if he's a redshirted player from another season. They stay on your roster your entire career.
