I have mistakenly keyed run middle, I tried to pinch D-Line, but hit L2 instead of L1
that sucks. Keep in mind that to pinch you don't have to hold down L1 like you would have to do with L2 to key run.

In the second half of my game with terps, I messaged him to ask him what that PLAY THE PASS thing was. He explained it to me as well as warning me not to do it against the run, which I had already known in reading AJ's post ... although, I didn't know what it meant.
What do I do? The NEXT play, I played the run because I did it wrong, so there is one mistake.
I still cant see a valid excuse as to why you wouldnt want to have it on. maybe we are all missing every point here but for arguements sake lets take another example.
Its 3rd and goal and I am going for a game winning TD on my opponents goalline and he blows me up in the backfield with an all out blitz. If he had it ON and it didnt show points for playing the run then I know its legit and my guys missed blocks. If its off then I am wondering (I know its the NDL but we still all kinda wanna win) whether or not he used it and wondering if he wasnt playing a little cheesy then why not turn it on?
Just an example but I have played enough to know its NOT THAT obvious ALL THE time.. Most of the time, yeah but it could be mistaken for a goal line blitz and therefor makes you wonder...
I cant believe i just read all of this and dont know what the hell people are talking about. I never use all these crummy features. I just meet in NDL room or play OD, I guess I should explore things a lil more to understand what you guys are talking bout.

Just sayin...
Carry On
Three things:
1. It's a useless and pointless feature and EA sucks balls for adding it.
2. Key run is against the rules, period. It's not even up for argument's sake. Anyone who uses it "under cover" is a joke and shouldn't be in this league.
3.You can easily tell the difference between guys blitzing and the ENTIRE team in the backfield, sorry but I disagree with your statement.

Well I call your Disagree and raise you a rolling eyes emoticon and 2 Disagrees.. It may be obvious to YOU but I play league games and a few lobby games here and there and said I cant tell the difference all the time. I played a guy the other day with his Showdown thing on and I could have swore he was guessing runs but a few times he blew me up in the backfield and didnt get credit for i. So that means it isnt as obvious to ME as it is to YOU I guess.
Still waiting to hear why you WOULDNT want to turn it on. Represent your favorite team and dont open yourself up to have your playcalling questioned.....
I am a simple button pusher and couldnt hardly ever tell the difference between man and zone because I spaz after my QB has had the ball for 3 seconds and start pushing buttons.. I play the gme for fun and dont know all the tricks and gimmicks and have no desire to learn. Just cant see why anyone would be against the season showdown feature being on is all....
LOL...love the intro there. I think it is great that we can all chat about things on here and not let it be personal...that makes for a better league I think.
So yeah, I guess it would be that we could see things differently on the field...so let's agree to disagree.
As far as not wanting it on....I really don't like the remark that "you should have it on to not have your play calling come into question" That seems so sad that is being used so some guys don't have to be obsessing over other guys not playing the NDL way.
I don't have it on simply because I never clicked on the feature on the menu. I don't have an ultimate favorite team or anything either. Then when I heard guys saying that it makes "more" thing pop up on the screen and follow...I have a hard enough time just finding the icon over my WR than worrying about anything else. Also, I think it is a poor sales gimmick that EA tried to use and I don't want to give them the satisfaction. I had no idea that guys were using it to call out other players, that's just another reason I see no use for it. Finally, I don't ever play lobby games so it's useless anyway.
I hope I gave you some good reasons as why I won't use it...just don't see any need for it. I just want to play football and have fun dammit!

No worries. We all have different opinions.. Its true and yes it is sad that peoples integrity might come into question sometimes but its a fact of life. The NDL isnt all roses and midget porn.. Sometimes it gets ugly. out of 120 guys theres maybe 60 or 70 that are regular posters on the boards (1 or more posts a week) and some that are very active but stay off the boards and then theres 10-15 that might as well be ghosts but play their games and do the minumum so if you think that NO ONE would use it then you are just fooling yourself.
Just seems like another way to police the league and makes sense to have it on..
ChampDizzle wrote:see, I am really getting confused about the play pass feature. I don't do anything else, jump snap, play run, etc. This is a pass heavy game and I feel the play pass feature gives you some sense of security with your pass defense. If it is 3rd and long or you been passing like its going out of style, why would play pass be docked if I use it more often than not? I will tell you this, all my strgedy is left on blue, except big run I usually put it on conservative to combat fumbles, but I do like to use the pass play feature. Is this wrong?
No, there is absolutely nothing wrong with playing the pass. Not only is it perfectly within the rules, it is easily fought by running the ball. I use it on obvious passing downs, and will continue to do so. Without the R3 up/down to guess pass/run, it's all that's left.
