I could think of a good reason they'd do that.packsyD22 wrote:the Mirage for some reason turns their water practically into fucking ice.

Re: Group Rates...
Not bad prices for the lower ones, but I think we can find even lower or get her to find lower as well.
Like I was saying, I was getting emails from the MGM hotels from being on their mailing list for rooms at $59. Sure it may not be that specific weekend, but I think we can find some good shit.
Thanks for all the research Feisty.

Re: Group Rates...
Hey Feisty, much appreciated, making the time to try to come up with some hotel packages!
The only two I'm going to comment about, is the Imperial Palace, seeing I'm pretty sure I'll be going that route & Harrahs, seeing that name has been brought up, often. I just went to the IP website and punched in those same days with four per room, and no doubt, the price she quoted you was better.
But when you trim it down to TWO PER ROOM, for those same dates, her price is exactly the same as what the IP already offers, any regular Joe Blow off the street!
I checked Harrah's and it's the same deal. For FOUR people in a room, it's:
Thur: 115.00
Fri: 155.00
Sat: 155.00
For TWO people, it's the same price as what she offered:
Thur: 55.00
Fri: 95.00
Sat: 95.00
Once again, kudos to Feistyman for workin' on this. It WOULD be great if the majority of us were staying in the same hotel, no doubt about it. Like I said before, I'm almost positive that I will be at the IP, as I know I'll be able to get even a lower price than this, doing it as a package deal, with Southwest, come April 7th....it's:
Central to the strip (and the least expensive hotel on the strip) Cheap drinks (when not gambling)
$3-$5 BJ tables (which will come in handy after I lose my ass in the various sportsbooks!
Anything else I want, I'll walk a few hundred feet, to a different establishment.
I know alot of guys want a fancier place....and I'm still willing to consider that....but we need to see some prices where they're really actually giving us a REAL honest discount, for 20 rooms! We deserve more, don't they realize this is the first full-fledged NDL Convention?

important note- when you look online for a room, never put down 4 people in a room. just put down 2 and 2 queen beds. when you add the other 2 , they charge for the extra 2. just a heads up

Re: Group Rates...
ya thats what I meant...you can say 2 adults...and then put 4 guys in a room...at that rate...
Imperial would be 190 total...and it would roughly be $25 a person...you cant go wrong with that
If everyone plays on $50 a night you can harrahs.

Re: Group Rates...
Tom if your choosing between IP and Harrahs just go for IP. They are pretty much right next door to one another and both not the nicest spots, mine as well take the cheaper way.

Re: Group Rates...
Nole, AJ you guys get my email about the flight???
Maybe it didnt go through.
US Airways, non stop, $279 TOTAL.
Thats cheaper than anything Southwest will bring to the table.
I just flew it on this recent trip and not bad at all for a great price and you cant beat nonstop to Vegas from Orlando.

Re: Group Rates...
I dont think its cheaper than Southwest for sure. SW can go pretty low. Ive seen sub $200 tix on there doing Tampa/VegasCnasty wrote:Nole, AJ you guys get my email about the flight???

Thats a good deal but im await it out til SW publishes
if we google best way to buy airline tix...all the experts say dont book too early...They say 4 months out is MAX..that puts us at about June 4th
Im gonna register with Southwest and get it to do that little "ding" thing when new/lower rates are purchased.
If it ever goes sub $200...im gonna jump on it right then....if it doesnt...I'm gonna give myself until July 31st to book.
Side note...I think we can go ahead and book hotel....

Re: Group Rates...
I dunno man.
Ive NEVER seen Vegas cheaper than $300 on SW from anywhere in Florida.
I dont have a problem waiting though as this looks like a recurring flight and on their itinerary permanently so we have that luxury of waiting.
Hotel, I think we can wait as well.
In Nole I trust though.
