Good stuff Feisty.

I think George lives out in Omaha and so does other NDLers.

Im sure they can supply us with the ins and outs on how to take our best route there.

Im sure they have some sort of Omaha World Series package. Tickets, flight, hotel, games. All that good stuff.

With the amount of NDLers and their favorite teams...we could make it the NDL convention. People who live in Omaha need to get us future hotel situations...or if they are nice...we could camp in their back yard LOL.

Im gonna double post here cause I looked up some information...

Reserved Seat Tickets

Pricing: Single session reserved tickets for 2009 will be $20 for the qualifying games and $27 for the “best-of-three” finals games. Box seats will be $25/$33.

General admission tickets for 2009 games will go on sale in April 2009.

Pricing: General admission (GA) ticket books for 2009 cost $70 for a book of 10 tickets. Tickets can be used for any game including the Championship Games.

GA sounds like the best way to go...You can also get all the games I think? I mean there may be more than 10 games....hmmm let me check that out.

Those are some great prices. Good find Feisty!

Yea, GA would be best Im thinking. Out in the bleachers, come and go as you please for whatever games, enjoy the atmosphere walking around.

Man, we gotta make this happen. Prices for tickets are reasonable. Split the hotel costs and the most expensive thing is the airfare.

yea, I guess I heard somewhere that the tix are always cheap since it IS Omaha, Nebraska lol

omaha would be alot safer for an ndl convention than vegas

then again though..not everyone is into baseball and by no means does this perclude the fall ndl vegas trip.

my internet here at work is being goofy...what do air fares look like to omaha?

I googled it and its a 17 hour drive

ROAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDD TTRRRRRRRRRIIIIIPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

Just threw some numbers and dates to southwest.

For the 12th-17th it is around 330 from Orlando round trip to Omaha.

Road trip you have to calculate more time off from work and how many we can confirm.

My lazy ass would rather fly and me done with it

Tickets on sale in April. Got some time to iron things out.

i usually go to at least one game a year....with first row seats right behind the away dugout. I caught the championship 2 years ago, and the game in which UNC got knocked out last year. Scary as fuck when some of those foul balls come flying our way. Somebody got hit two rows above us last year...might be worth it for all the free stuff they get.

My friend and my borther in law went a couple of years back when Texas went 05 i think
they said you can get tickets every morning with no problem. Just designate someong to stand in line for the games that day. As teams fall out more and more scalpers sell the tickets for very little more than face value.

I plan on going this year as I think Texas has a good chance if the pitching can hold up

Chance Ruffin will do well this year.

Count me in but I will be with the family though. My wife would love to talk crap with the other wives/GF's if they come

I live an hour and a half from omaha and would definately come down to meet you guys. My wife is a hairstylist and I could bring Nasty a gift basket of various hair gels.

Nole you get a variety pack of Zima.

I have to admit that I plan to go to the CWS every year but have yet to actually ever attend.

2 of my best friends live in Omaha so I have someone who could take us out to some local watering holes and such.

In.

Always wanted to go to the College World Series, been way too long since the Trojans and Mark Pryor won the title. We have really fallen off but I do not follow our team too much except I know that Scott Boras kid plays for the Trojans and our SS is one of the best in the land.

We are usually a Catcher factory and our pitching has been very down over the years. Fuck it though, I'd go just to go, woulda loved to see Fresno State win it all last season, what a fun team to watch they were.

Time for updates.

LSU is cruising right along at 8-0, outscoring there opponents 99-21, or 12-2 per game. Though they are playing scrubs.

Dating back to last season, they've won 24 straight regular season games.

They also took over the #1 spot in the rankings.

Good times right now, I can't wait to til conference play starts.
