See, you don't know me at all.
I have always had the confidence to ruffle feathers. That has nothing to do with my ootp record.

When I was sub .500, it wasn't because of my lack of knowledge, it was because I didn't care and I half assed those seasons. I was burnt out initially when I started sucking and just didn't care anymore.
I contemplated quitting, but didn't want to and then come back and be a different team.

Then I took over another league where the commish literally ghosted us after 2 seasons and we all spent a ton of time doing the inaugural draft. I didn't want to see it fold, so then my focus was there for a while.

Now I am trying to get someone to take over that league as the commish.

So what did I miss?

Reminder that this offseason we begin new rules where you can not offer extensions until players have 3 years ML service time and must be in their final year of Arbitration. If you have anyone in the old rules of 2 years ML service time and final year of Arb you have 2 sims to offer an extensions. Once free agents file new rules are in effect. If anyone notices any illegal deals feel free to let me know please as I do not see them all.

So I cant offer a contract to avoid arb?

It was basically the rich making sure the poor couldn't sign those high draft picks to sweet heart deals as they began to get better.

Now I sit back and watch the negativity that ensues.

Nobody abusing, just led to many unrealistic extensions and this will help with that

For the first time in about a decade I have green numbers for FA's and Extensions. Feels good.

Taking a quick look around the league it looks as though we are more flushed with cash then probably ever historically.

Plus about 6-8 teams I believe sitting on $100mil+

Doing the Revenue Sharing numbers I tend to disagree. Looks like it's the way it's always been. Handful of teams always spending double every one else, handful of teams that think their cash is real and saving it for retirement, and then the middle group that ebbs and flows with what their team is currently doing.

But what I have FINALLY learned is that the number in green for FA's and EXT's doesn't really mean you HAVE that money
(at least all that money)
