I will only say one thing about this and leave it alone. You really should be pissed at the idiots that constantly belittles and harassed him, not Ted himself. A guy can only put up with so much when he is getting hit from all different angles.

This. There is no such thing as the wrong way to get out of dealing with people who are upsetting you, especially online. You just get away. Why go back so soon to the people who are upsetting you?

Maybe I’m misunderstanding the situation but we’re making it seem like ted was getting death threats here. He got harassed about how he handled an online simulation baseball game. I know ted enough to know he also had people he befriended here and that cared about him outside of this game.

I’m not defending anyone who made him feel that way or belittling his feelings of being bullied. Do I necessarily agree with his thoughts? I’d have to hear more to really say that but it’s not my place either way to tell anyone how to feel. Nobody should stay anywhere they are truly uncomfortable. I do have a hard time believing after 10 years of people busting teds balls (he busted my balls ALL the time in private chats by the way) that he just couldn’t deal with this... seems to me he had other shit going on with his new relationship that he wanted an out... again that’s my speculation, could be completely off.

Again, last words he said to me after all this went down were “I’ll still be around on boards”. I didn’t put those words in his mouth and I haven’t seen him since.

I’m done w this topic by the way, I don’t like making it seem as if I’m down playing his feelings, cause I’m certainly not. I just don’t like thinking a person is a friend and then have them disappear overnight.

who was harassing him? who specifically was 'repeatedly harassing' him

2. flip side to this is.. Ted struggled to win and this guy came in in 1 year and won with his team.. probably got a better GM for the league long term.

maybe it happened on slack....i dunno but i don't recall anyone harassing ted relentlessly.
