I wish this game would allow you to poach other players coaches for promotions. Like Corey has a legendary pitching coach. Someone should be able to offer him a manager spot and buy out the contract.

also it would lead to some awesome passive aggressiveness and pettiness.

Nobody got raped. Oliver is a top 3 SP in the game. Did Corey give 1 guy more than he maybe would have given 4 seasons ago, maybe but that deal was not an unfair deal at all.

For a guy who has made more awful trades than anyone and been a playoff team 2-3 times in over a decade you seem to really no a lot about good trades, value, and what everyone else should be doing.

You could stop whining every single time you post and actually figure out what the fuck Tampa is doing

Not sure why a former member of the league cares so much any more, it's odd.

Oliver has a more favorable contract, age, and upside. Those demand more themselves.

Now bringing Hewitt down at all but he does have a large contract that comes with him.

Yea, that's the difference, and a big one.

29 vs 26 in age. And $13mil/year vs $25+mil on average.

Both players are basically 7+WAR players. But once you factor in age/contract there's really no argument, Oliver is obviously a better value.
