Absolute best week of the year begins now. I would truly be surprised if Tiger is not in contention come Sunday afternoon. My heart is going with Tiger, my wallet is going with Justin Rose and Jordan Spieth.
TIGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That field is so stacked and it is great to see Tiger, Rory and Jordan coming in on strong finishes.

I agree, there are so many guys playing well that could win. I think that nobody is talking about DJ could be good for him and I almost feel like there is a strong DJ runs away with it possibility

I don't see anyone running away with it. Tiger being back is a huge win for golf, because fans are going to get to see Tiger... but this is the deepest that I can recall this field ever being and I think some novice golf fans are going to be treated to some great newer players that they may not be familiar with.

Been a weird Tiger day. Hit the ball all over the place, did not birdie any of the par 5s but is grinding and currently +1 thru 17 which is fine and keeps him in it all things considered

He hasn't won the Masters in 13 years or any tournament in 5 years, this is not weird.

All that is injury related. This new spinal fusion Tiger is the comp. It is a small sample size in just 6 tourneys but he has looked great since coming back. Coming off back to back top 5s and is 5th this season in scoring average at 69.
It is actually super impressive he is +1 with some of the big misses he has had today

That was brutal to watch, it has to be so hard for guys to finish knowing you are going home and not making any cash and it is a lock at this point.

That just seemed like something I'd expect Sergio to do.
Tiger wasn't on fire, but he definitely fought through it. A few tough breaks, but liked that he didn't get overly pissed. Had a huge putt after tossing it in the creek, then leaving a chip short, to prevent a double.
Course seems so tight and tough. The green on 6 has been destroying people.
It's basically perfect weather and less than 20% of the field will be under par for day 1. The cut line the last 2 years has been +7 and we're trending close to that again. I don't recall any major changes from 2015 to 2016, but it's definitely putting these guys through a real test.

I was sitting in my cart on 15 when it happened. I was up towards the fairway though, and not paying much attention. I heard the roar for Tiger making it on 16, and then Fleetwood, and then another one right after it and couldn't figure out what it was til I looked up and saw the guys still stacked up in the fairway waiting on Sergio's group... It was the roar when he finally made it over the water
