He said authorities are trying to convince the passenger to give himself up.
Turkish media said that a Ukrainian man attempted to hijack the plane en route from Kharkov in Ukraine to Turkey, and divert it to Sochi - where the Winter Olympics are taking place.
The man claimed there was a bomb on board the Pegasus Airlines aircraft, tried to gain access to the cockpit and was carrying a detonator, the unconfirmed reports said.
The pilot managed to sound the alert and an F-16 Turkish military jet was scrambled, forcing the plane to land in Istanbul, the reports said.
Turkish anti-terrorist commandos and armed police were searching all the passengers on the aircraft for explosives, the reports said.
Little detail was known about the man behind the reported attempt.
From what I'm hearing on the radio, a lot of these hotels don't want you flushing the slampaper down the toilet, so my guess is thats why there is a trash can in between them. Who puts a trash can in between two toilets and not by the sink???

Someone who wants paper thrown away instead of flushed . Have fun carrying soiled paper across the room to the trash can!

For no other reason really. Talk about a bonding moment, anyone ever take shit that close to someone else without a divider?? You done bro?? Cool, let me get the waste basket for you
there are a bunch of countries that require you to throw it away in the trash can vs down the toilet. a lot of countries don't have septic systems that can handle toilet paper.
In a sort of sick way I am actually hoping for a disaster of some sorts in Sochi. That way, maybe - fingers crossed - the IOC and FIFA will stop putting this shit in dangerous and unprepared locations.

I just realized something, Trendon thinks like a terrorist.
Ok, so this is how I am watching the olympics. Everything is streamed online. Sadly, NBC require log in that I don't have. Instead of hunting a login, I just purchased an unlimited pack from TunnelBear for $5 a month. VPN from Canada or UK. Both CBC.ca and BBC.uk are streaming everything and only need to have a connection from those countries. Loving it.
