Something has to be done about the judging. This is getting ridiculous. I have no problem with Henderson getting the win, but that 49-46 card was awful. Fight could have gone either way. I thought it was a draw.

Totally agree, that should have been a drawn. Getting tired of Benson, I want to like him, but it's like he is fighting to get to a decision every time out. Not someone who I would pay to see fight at this point, even if it's for the belt.

I told my my wife that the decision was going to be wild, even funnier I told her it was going to be split 3-2 on two cards and one was going to be a 4-1 card. I honestly didn't have a problem with the 49-46 as the scores could have been exactly the same with Thompson winning. Every round was a toss up for the exception of the 1st.

Thompson wasn't doing a lot to try to finish either. He had Benson's back 4 or 5 times and didn't do shit with it. Not even throwing punches, like he was just content to try to ride it and get points for it. When he had the body triangle and was trying to pump up the crowd, it kinda pissed me off. You got 25 seconds or so left and instead of throwing punches or trying to get a sub, you're waving your hands in the air like an idiot, then with 5 seconds left you try to lock up a choke. I'm to the point now that if you let it get to the judges and you aren't doing everything your power to try to finish it before that, then you deserve whatever ridiculous outcome they may come up with.

I agree AU, but I def thought Thompson won 2 rounds and I thought if he would have done anything the multiple times he had Benson's back, he would have won. But I will admit I dont like Benson, and I really don't know why. He just seems to rub me the wrong way. He seems like he should be a lot better than he is, even tho he's been really good. I agree with Pengy, Benson doesnt ever look like he's trying to finish a fight.

There is a reason for that, he isn't. He has never finished a fight in the UFC. All his wins are by decision. I think he is good enough that he could if he wanted to.

Crazy story for this fight on Saturday night. Rashad Evans gets hurt and has to back out of the Cormier fight... then this goes down...

I saw the end of that interview and was like what the fuck just happened. Been staying away from Sherdog.com because I have yet to watch the UFC fights from a a couple of weeks ago and then this past Saturday. I don't think Cummings has a shot at beating Cormier. Cormier was a beast at Heavy Weight, if he can make a good cut down to 205 and not be drawn out because of a bad cut he should destroy him. The question is does he make it last 3 rounds to humiliate him or does he stop him in the first. I could be wrong because I have never seen Cummings fight but I have watched Cormier fight guys 20+ pounds heavier than him and work them over.

He's obviously got a great wrestling background to try to neutralize that aspect of the fight. But at the end of the day, Cormier is just head and shoulders above everyone else. I was front row for the Strikeforce event where Cormier took out Bigfoot. Got to sit right behind him when he gave his post event interview and then talk to him some afterwards. He comes off as a very genuine and intelligent guy. I can't foresee a situation where he breaks from his game plan and slips up, no matter what Cummins says.

I completely agree. But one punch can turn everything around.

At the same time I have to say I came away less than impressed by he last couple fights. While he clearly won both, I see a very good fighter but I haven't seem him do anything that makes me think of him as great or a likely champion. By comparison most of the current belt holders all have those moments when they just flat out wow you, and I don't see that with Cormier, especially with the defeats that Bigfoot and Barnett suffered since his wins over them.

Overall It was a good card last night I think. Thompson looked good getting the stoppage of Whitaker and the only decision of the card was still a good fight. I'm still very much on the fence about Cormier being deserving a title shot, in any division. He was decisive, but I'm not sold still and I really would expect the winner of Jones vs Teixeira to beat him up. As for the Rousey fight, the stoppage could be argued either way but it is true that those last few strikes were not defended at all.

If Demian Maia had any gas tank whatsoever, he could have beaten McDonald. He could barely stand up in the 2nd and 3rd. The stoppage in Rousey's fight was justifiable. If you go down like that and lay there holding where you just took a big shot like you are injured, you have to expect it to get stopped.

Torn over this fight tonight. I like both Hendricks and Lawler. It should be an awesome fight. Just wondering how much the recut will affect Hendricks. I'll stick to my ATT loyalties and go with Lawler. But this is anybody's fight.

Incredible fight. Got out money's worth with that one. Rematch!!! The car overall was good. Hating seeing Carlos Condit lose like that. I don't care how many fights Diego Sanchez loses, as long as he fights with reckless abandon, I want to see him in the cage. OSP, Tyron Woodley, and Hector Lombard all looked impressive.

I have to agree, that card was excellent last night. It was one of the few cards that I was really looking forward to in the last year.
- Lawler did better than I expected. I really though Johnny was going to beat his ass if it went beyond the 2nd.
- Like you, I hated seeing the Condit-Woodley match end like that. I have to give it up for Woodley, because he's got his career back on track and looks like a force.
- WW looks a little crazy right now. I think 6 guys are really in the mix still. A focused Lombard is legit, but the lazy Lombard is hideous. I think fighting for the belt gives us the best version of him we'll see. Shields, though he lost, has wins over nearly every top WW guy. So I don't think he falls completely off of the radar, but sticks around 5/6 overall. MacDonald's only losses were to Condit (2-3yrs ago?) and a split decision loss to Lawler. Obviously Woodley is still there, though I think he needs 1 more win to be a title contender.
- Myles Jury is going to win a lot of fights and piss a lot of people off.

Great card all around. I really thought Pennington won that fight on the under card. Loved the way Hendricks used the preparing shots rather than throwing 100% every punch. He kind of had that Diaz brother fight style and I think he pulls it off great. Should be an awesome rematch if they pull the trigger on it.

Not the responses I expected lol, I skipped this one, and my buddy who watched it said it sucked.
