1 side has never heard of cutting your own tree, the other side doesn't even know there are other ways.
It's like we live in 2 different worlds, silly Northerners!!!

It should be noted, growing up we always had a fake tree, so I have no clue how its done. I just see pics/hear stories about families picking out their trees and cutting them down

Growing up was only exposed to going out and picking out a real tree up to the age of 7, then it was discovered that the REAL christmas trees make my bronchitis act up and starting at the age of 8 till this day have only had a fake Christmas Trees.

Some friends of our family own a Christmas tree farm. Find a tree you like and they pull out the chainsaw and cut it down. They are rich as fuck too. Didn't realize Christmas trees were such a valuable commodity.

We cannot have a real tree as my wife breaks out from the sap.
We had a real one growing up and it was nice, but I didn't have to deal with the mess.
Now that I do, pre-lit, fake tree is what we have.
But where I grew up, there are tree farms where you go and pick one out and they cut it down, wrap it up and load it in/on your vehicle for you.

Last year was the first time I haven't gone and cut down my own tree in a very long time. We have at least 3 tree farms around my area that I know of. Now that I'm single again, I won't be decorating shit. My parents just had some people move in from Corpus Christi. They went and cut their own tree and bought some wreath thing for like 45 bucks or something. They said down in Corpus they would have paid $125 for the same thing. That shits cray cray.

I've lived in the south for 34 years and have never been part of a named snowstorm.

We have about a foot of snow now and they are calling for 3-5 more tonight.
And next Tuesday it is supposed to be a high of -1.
I don't remember the last time I saw a high in the negatives for Cleveland. And that is not counting the wind chill, that is a straight up high temp.
