I'm jealous. I'm stuck in Pittsburgh for work until tomorrow night. Can't wait to get home, pick up the game and check it out.

I got to play a few tonight. Reminds me of last years version. I have zero complaints 3 rds in. I did try and play a couple of rds online. I played one in Dublin Oh which is cool at night. Have to be sure to put 18 sim or you'll watch each player hit and what not. The sim tournies are cool you can actually play in a 4 some with people. Like it so far.....

I will say until you get your created golfer up in the 50's, it probably will suck if you run into some bad conditions.

If you downloaded the pre-release you got special clubs that help your game out greatly. They are way better than anything I can upgrade to as a level 7.

So as someone who hasn't played in a few years, should I be creating a golfer to use and build up or using one of the defaults?

Last year we started off with real players but most switched to created guys once they were built up.

Also, what difficulty level is everyone playing on? I posted what I thought I liked in some previous poats from my play on the demo. Would like to see what others think. Itching to fly home today and play this!!

Man, I was rolling along, doing well on my first round, playing the US Amateur with the nice clubs I got from having Season Ticket.... was -4 through 8, then I overshot the green on the 9th, and thought "here comes the reality check"

And then I holed out from the bunker to birdie.

I like this game already :D

Thanks Oracle, the season ticket clubs are nice.

The daily online tournies are pretty cool. You can actually play live with people which will be cool if you want to meet up and play one and what not. You just get in the tourny and what on the first hole until everyone arrives.

I ve been playing the tour pro setting. I get me and nice hook every once in a while... They have a tourny group called simo and its way harder than the tourny level. You can look forward to see where your hitting the ball too.....etc. Your swing is completely messed up and the strike grid vanishes once you try to move it. I played a 5 hole tourny and was +8.

Putting is killing me. Tons of three puts, mostly ending with 4" tap ins which are frustrating

First round on pro setting with my created golfer, no upgrades to any attributes yet, shot a 70 at Augusta on pro setting which included a triple on #3. The flop shot is more realistic this year which I found out the hard way. I used the flop around the greens last year instead of chipping or pitching, but it doesn't work as well this year.

I don't think pro will be where we are at in the tournies. Last year we did Tour Pro, but this year you can customize a lot more so I will start messing around with the options. I'll start putting out daily tournies tomorrow with different settings to see what we all like.
