Who has that Nike band? I have some coworkers using it and they said they like it.

if anyone wants rushfit, talk to me and I'll send you it. It's an MMA style workout that is heavy on cardio and core. I like it 10x more than P90x. Georges St. Pierre is the guy in it, but it's mostly his trainer who does the talking and created it. I'm a big fan of it so far.

A good friend of mine uses it along with his wife.
They like them.
My wife and I used to use http://www.bodybugg.com/

Either of them are nice to see how many calories you are burning when doing different activities.

I am not sure how the Nike Band works but with the bodybugg, there was a monthly fee, so we did it for 6 months, kept track and trended everything and now we know how are bodies work.
Now it is just a matter of keeping up with it.

The bodybugg claims that it is over 90% accurate.
The way I looked at it was, even if not 100% it gives me a great idea of how my body is reacting to many different things.

I have had the band now for a few months, and I can tell you it has been a great motivator for being more active. I currently have a streak of 105 days of meeting my set points, and couldnt be more happier with it The only slight downfall is the calories burned seems a little off. Or it could be that because I am such a big guy that might play into it because I burn more calories then it says. But for being active it is awesome and a good watch. I use it for most times of the day to track how active I am. For instance I kind of know where I should be as far as points go during the day and if I am short I do something active. I tell everyone to get one, because if you combine that with eating right you can lose some serious weight. In may I started eating a less than 1000 calorie diet and worked out almost everyday and I was 6'4 556, now as of today I am 6'4 374. My goal is to get down to about 6'4 250 ish, then maybe I will change that.

Here' motivation.. if you dont start taking care of yourself now, you might not even see the day when Cal hauls in a 80 yard bomb for the FLORIDA STATE SEMINOLES :P

so dual motivation. gotta make sure youre healthy to be around til you're 100, and also healthy enough to advise future WR to not go to FSU!

I do the same thing and feel better also. I also take fish oil supplements now. Anyone have anything bad to say about those? I take only a 1000 mg gel tab in the morning, should I up it? Also I heard Krill supplements are better?

I have taken a fish oil pill for years and a multivitamin.
I am going to start taking some amino acids and tonalin after each meal.

And great job UCLA on the weight loss, keep it up man.
That is my goal this year, 40-50 pounds to lose. With our kid due in May, as nick stated, it is great motivation.

I do not want to be that fat, outta shape dad on the sidelines telling my kid how important it is to be in shape.
I want to lead by example, not just by words.

Prior to 2009 I went from 275 to 210 and then hovered at 220.

In 2009 I ended up getting back fusion surgery with my L5 to S1. I ballooned back up to 270 in the time leading up to that and after surgery. Really sucked, because my only method of exercise was playing hoops and softball, add in the coaching football and baseball and I was feeling pretty good. This past year I lost 25 lbs but have been steady at 250. Looking to try and lose 20-30 lbs again this year.

So short story long:

6'3" 250
