I blame it on EA! Even if the put a "manual" on the disc, they don't explain shit!

the fact that you can simply hold a button down after the snap to 'help" you just sums up this franchise.

i don't know that you can do it like Shel says you can (maybe its different with LSU) and its certainly not as easy as 'just holding triangle'

you still have to get in the right spot and then time when you hold it. you just don't need to be RIGHT on the guy, holding it down will guide a better player into the area he should be in to make the pick by maybe an extra yard. it makes a difference for sure, but its not a dumby fool proof thing that someone who sucks like Joe is just going to pick up and start doing.

Maybe you can press and hold X after the snap so the game puts you in the right position to make a play and then press and hold triangle once it is thrown to go for the pick.

Or you can just let the computer control all the defenders while you get up during a play and take a piss or get another drink. That's the Joe way to play.

i'm not defending anything. its like any other thing you'd do in the game. is it lame to be able to juke guys out too? or to lead wide recievers? its just a part of the game... it isn't some dumby proof way of letting the computer do the work.

I felt like I had gotten decent at the "switch and hit triangle at just the right time" move. Then this years game came along and it only worked half the time, if that. Now there's some ball hawk shit or something? What the fuckety fuck?
