Excuse the double post but damn Nick. You my Canadian and all (by default) but I've read that post like eight times and I'm still not sure what it means. Its like Canadian pothead Mad Libs or something.

Alcohol was illegal at one point too. I'll say what I've said a thousand times in every other case were an athlete is demonized for smoking pot. A majority of college kids smoke pot, our past three presidents have smoked pot at one time. This guys life is ruined right now because of a stupid law that is not different than what prohibition was to alcohol, but yet we celebrate drinking, just check around the stadiums on Saturdays. We've made marijuana look as though it were some kind of thing that makes people crazy, lethargic and useless. Then we demonize the people that show that this myth is untrue, we ruin their lives and point at them, scream "YOU ruined your life by smoking pot!" when it wasn't the actual smoking that caused it but the people that want to tell you and I what to do every day of our lives and preach to us what is good and what we should put into our bodies, while they shove prescription drugs and meat and vegetables with chemicals and hormones down our throats.

It is illegal. He knows it violates team rules.

I give a rats ass if people are smoking pot. But the one thing it does show, at least for him, is that he has horrible reasoning skills. I also think it shows his true character, he would rather put himself first rather than the team just by following a couple of simple rules (and to boot it's against the law).

Agree with shift on the rules.

This isn't a discussion about whether or not marijuana should be legal. The fact is that it isn't. It's also a fact that using it is against team rules.

The law and rules were known by Mathieu and he still violated them. He's now facing the consequence. It really is that simple.
