GAME 1's
Steven Hays pitched spectacularly, of course, as he held the Whalers to two runs on six hits. Tom White, though, was better; allowing only one run on four hits over eight. Jorge Serrano's fifth inning home run (presumably on a fastball) was the difference.
Hartford 2 Port Orange 1 (HAR leads 1-0)
Ryan Simpson struck out the tying batter - PH Bob Johnson - after Ambrose Barnes hit a two-run home run to bring the Bombers within one. NorCal used four pitchers and allowed only three runs but Chicago's Ruppert was nearly unhittable through eight.
Chicago 3 NorCal 2 (CHI leads 1-0)
GAME 2'S
Mark Allen got likely MVP Jaime Cruz to ground out to first with the tying run on third and the winning run at first as Port Orange escapes with a victory. Leading 3-0, the Hawks gave up runs in the seventh and eighth before holding on in the ninth.
Port Orange 3 Hartford 2 (Series tied at 1)
Is this real-life? Ryan Simpson again strikes out PH Bob Johnson in the bottom of the ninth after Ambrose Barnes and Anastasio Hernandez doubled back-to-back to put the tying run at the plate. Kevin Thomas struck out ten in 6.1 shutout innings for Chicago.

GAME 3's
Well, Mark Smith sure is filling in admirably for Ladd. Eight innings of one-run pitching was all Port orange needed after the Hawks scored four two-out runs in the first inning punctuated by a Chris Ford three-run jack.
Port Orange 4 Hartford 1 (PO leads 2-1)
Ben Jones was awful and the NorCal bullpen was worse while Chicago's Oike nearly melted down completely in the sixth, allowing NorCal to score five to close it to 7-5. The LOLCats would run away with it with four runs in the next two innings to put the Bombers on the brink.
Chicago 11 NorCal 6 (CHI leads 3-0)
GAME 4's
Port Orange yet again jumps out to a big lead sparked by a four-run fourth en route to a 11-4 victory and a chance to close things out tomorrow.
Port Orange 11 Hartford 4 (PO leads 3-1)
Willie Cobb hit a two-run shot off of Sakaguchi and the recently miserable NorCal bullpen pitched two innings of scoreless baseball to hold off the LOLCats for one more day.
