After about 12 hours of editing I am worn out.
Pac 12 is done. The Big 12 is done with the exception of Texas Tech and WVU. I forgot Nebraska went to the B1G so I did them as well.
Thabeet and I are planning on finishing the Big 12 and B1G today and then just going A-Z, making it easier to know where we left off. You can do this as well if you want, but if it would be more fun for you to do a certain conference or team/s then be my guest. My only request is that if you start editing a team, please finish it. Doing a few players, while it does help a little, isn't gonna do much.
To give you an idea, to complete an entire team will take 25-30 mins if you have a rhythm down and get lucky with few John Doe's and true freshman. You could be looking at about an hour or more if you're trying to get used to how to do it efficiently, so plan accordingly.

If you cannot find a player, don't fret and don't go chasing all over the internet to find him. Just post in the roster help thread and someone will get it for you. I've noticed it is much faster to just ignore the player and comeback later, allowing someone else to find out who he is while you continue along your way.
The most important part is that you guys post when you grab the roster file and when you upload it. If more than one person is working on it simultaneously, someone is wasting their time. Also, once someone has posted that they grabbed your roster, delete it from your EA locker by going to roster share and hitting "delete roster." I wouldn't recommend deleting it from your PS3 just to be safe.
Make sure you have a USB or Bluetooth keyboard before attempting to do it. You'll go nuts trying to do it with a controller as a keyboard is tedious enough.
Try and be as accurate as possible, especially in your spelling. Mistakes will happen due to the sheer volume of this task as well as your eyes crossing after 30 minutes. But do your best and we'll fix the missed mistakes later when someone catches them. I also suggest doing what I do and after you finish a roster, sorting it by name and seeing if you have any duplicates. It's an easy and common mistake that's also easy to fix.

But please only do that if you're gonna start a dynasty right away.
That said, my roster is in my locker. Someone post when they grab it and i'll delete it when I wake up.
