75% of them are exes, the other 25% are cousins.

In most southern states, those two categories are one in the same.

Once again, you know I am biased as hell, but I do find it funny that an Oregon LSU rematch is acceptable, yet Bama-Lsu is not cause the game was defensive battle, yet oregon was beat by 2 scores.

Oregon IMO will not jump Bama, Bama has a pretty good lead over the Ducks right now and the rest of their schedule wont help them enough. Time will tell I guess in a few weeks.

on an equal 11-1 scale, yes i 100% agree, but when Oregon wins the pac and goes 12-1, and Bama remains 11-1, shouldnt they get in for that? In essence Bama couldnt win their own division/conference and could win it all?

Im also sick of the reason they should play again is cause it was low scoring. Western Kentucky scored more points I believe than Bama. Western Kentucky. That shit doesn't mean dick. All it showed was both coaches are pussies in tough situations.

Also if the low score thing matters, Oregon scored the most points on LSU this year. That should account for something then right?

No, not when Bama held LSU to 6 points in regulation and Oregon gave up 40. Scoring or stopping scoring, there shouldn't be any difference.

The funniest thing is everyone is ranting about how boring the Bama-LSU game was, while most were glued to their TVs in the 2nd half and OT.

I remember specifically posting here during LSU-Oregon, thinking top 5 matchup, 1st big game of the season, the boards will be going nuts. Using the NDL as my sample size, no one was posting or really it seemed like even watching the 2nd half of LSU-Oregon, cause we was up by 20 points almost the entire half.

I guess it's a matter of preference, but for a national title just based on what I'd wanna see, I'll take the low scoring game that goes down to the final seconds over a game that is over by halftime that most know is over before it even starts. That's not particularly suspenseful either.

I do think if LSU-Bama play again it will be way more entertaining and we will see a lot more offense than we did.

I still would rather see Oregon-LSU as I think Kelly would make adjustments and Oregon had so many ridiculous turnovers in that game it would be interesting to see them again in that matchup.

I think LSU beats anyone though as its going to be near impossible to beat LSU in that dome.

I am of the opinion that Bama played a much tougher schedule than Oregon. So if they win the pac-10 by beating a 4 loss ( assuming they dont lose again) Arizona St, then hell no that shouldnt matter. IMO with that rationale, then you could make a case for Houston getting in over Bama since they will have won their conference and are undefeated. PAC-10 South is weak as hell with USC not being able to play for the title. Plus, the ducks have already beat ASU once this year, not going to help them out a ton.

If you wanna say that the Ducks should get in for scoring the most points on LSU, then gotta play the other side of that coin, Bama held them to the fewest points than any other team this season. Those arguments are weak IMO, I say pick the best 2 teams, LSU and whoever else no matter what. hard to argue against the Tide

Nearly every computer disagrees. They are rated as having very similar schedules.

That's one component about the computer polls that I don't get. I'm under the impression that the took out the margin of victory component.

So, if Oregon and bama have similar schedule strengths, then based on what component is Bama separating themselves from Oregon, as they're ranked higher than Oregon in every computer poll, except for one??

Well, he is a fan. I admit, I had to go check because I wasn't sure. I knew Oregon played four ranked teams and, if you look at their schedules, they are indeed identical.

I get annoyed when SEC teams claim their schedule is so much stronger because they have to play in the SEC and get passes for scheduling 3 cupcakes. like Alabama did (Kent State, FCS team, North Texas). I am not doubting that the SEC doesn't have great teams. But to say Auburn or Florida are any good because their losses are to only SEC teams is a joke.

Florida beat Furham, Florida Atlantic and UAB... that means jack shit
Auburn beat Utah State, Florida Atlantic and Samford... lost to Clemson.

You know what the best non-conference win for a team not named LSU, Alabama or Arkansas?
Tenn over Cincinnati

The SEC is complete shit at the bottom.
