i fully expect this league to hit 100 seasons plus

the foundation is just too strong at this point

even when we have "legends" leave the league for various reasons, we do have quality coming in

we havent had any long termers leave for prolly 6-7 seasons now

i think we have ALOT of great quality "new" guys here

i remember at one point we were low on conf commish candidates but there are 5-6 guys right now who do articles, make great threads, are respected (for the most part), and have good coaching reports (or have been getting alot better), that we are/will consider

which makes me extremely happy because i do want to step down from commishing all together at some point.

I am probably more confident than i have ever been that I will be able to do so and the league will prolly be stronger than ever.

the biggest thing ive learned is that guys will bitch. bitch at ea, bitch at sony, bitch at each other...doesnt mean the league is going anywhere. bitching is really just venting and unless its REALLY overzealous, its part of what makes the league great/entertaining

100 seasons? I know guys on crack that make more sense than you Nole. :P In all seriousness though, I honestly don't know how much longer this league can continue with 120 teams. I remember between NCAA 2004-2007 being obsessed with the game. I was excited to play in big games and that the demand for a spot in the league was simply insane. We used to be very selective in who we allowed into the league and would just tell people to get out if they didn't live up to our standard. Now we don't have those same guidelines due to a drastic decline in interest for the game and have to be much more lenient in who we allow into the league just to fill up spots. Do I hope the NDL is around in 4-5 years? Of course I do. Do I think it will be? Who knows.

I'm still here for the boards, but as time has gone by I only find time to play my season games and pretty much never get any scrims in. As such, I horribly suck at the game and probably become a waste of an hour for people to play as they must come up with ways to kill time in the second half of games when they're up 30. It's caused me to give consideration to just retiring from being an owner.

which is why even though guys like you in 101% excellent standing in the league will still have boards access removed if you dont have a team

sucks but im sure most of you can understand the reason behind it
