Re: Season 2 Rosters
Thunder's line up: The loss of D. Wade could be a big loss for the Thunder and we definitely are weaker at the Center position. Feel good about Felton at PG and I love Crawford/Wright. Stevenson will be nice off then bench like last season, and started to get the feel for George towards the end as well
Starters
PG- Raymond Felton
SG- Jamal Crawford
SF- Dorrell Wright
PF- Carl Landry
C- DeAndre Jordan
Key Bench Players
SG- DeShawn Stevenson
SF- Paul George
PF/C- JJ Hickson
PF- Ryan Anderson

Re: Season 2 Rosters
Additions of some quality big men in the paint have the Pacers hopeful in season 2.
Andrew Bynum, Wilson Chandler and David West have Monta Ellis not signing early retirement papers (ala Carson Palmer) just yet.
Jameer Nelson will be dishing the goods from the point. Will Bynum, Ronnie Brewer, Antonio McDyess and Hakim Warrick coming off the bench for quality minutes.
When it's all said and done the Pacers will continue to suck mightily...it's like Jim O'Brien never left. Carry on.

do not listen to this man...he will continue to shoot 92% from the field no matter what.dealer4014 wrote:Thunder's line up: The loss of D. Gotta agree, I saw that lineup and kind of cringed. That looks tough to stop. I'm hoping I don't regret taking Odom over Chandler. I played a full game matching the 2 up against each other. Ended up going with my heart. Chandler was a monster around the rim.

Thanks Dave! But the man behind the controller will end up driving this team into the ground.DRiccio21 wrote:i think you have one of the better rostersKegr8er wrote:Additions of some quality big men in the paint have the Pacers hopeful in season 2.

Thank you.
Lots of good, balanced teams out there this year. I think this season is going to be highly competitive as a lot of guys (myself included) get more playing time with this game, and I see a few guys who missed the first playoffs who have teams that fit their style and they'll make some serious noise.
Gonna be a lot more close games this season. I just hope I don't go 0-3 again in buzzer beater games

Rip City's Lineup:
PG-Deron Williams
SG-J.R Smith
SF-Luol Deng
PF-Charlie Villanueva
C-Brendan Heyward
Bench:
PG-Delonte West
SG-Roger Mason
SF-Damion James
PF-Derrick Caracter
C-Zaza Pachulia/Dan Gadzuric
I don't think scoring will be a problem, but defense and rebounding will which is a huge problem I'm gonna have to deal with. Gonna miss Andrew Bynum and Blatche in the front court. I like my bench better though, but its looking like a tough road ahead for the good people of Portland.

hope your right! I mean the part about Chandler being a monster and not the whole regret thing.ReignOnU wrote:Gotta agree, I saw that lineup and kind of cringed. That looks tough to stop. Re: Season 2 Rosters
I'll get with this...
Starting 5
pg-Kyle Lowry
sg-Mike Miller
sf-Kevin Durant
pf-Antawn Jamison
c- Brook Lopez
Bench
6th man- Landry Fields
backup pg-Steve Blake
3pt specialist- Jason Kapono
Twin tower look- Robin Lopez
Suns are definitely not one of the most athletic teams. Will look to use height advantage and shooting

Re: Season 2 Rosters
Although I was not able to draft my team, I do like my roster alot. I will miss Arenas though.
Re: Season 2 Rosters
My team will prob end up in the cellar this season as people progressed in the game last season I got progressively worse lol. However returning all NBA 1st teamer Danny Granger always helps and I really like Marc Gasol down low. Had a chance to draft Nene again but that experiment with two big men out there a la the LA Lakers just didn't suit my style of shooting jumpers. Here is how the LA CLIPS will look this season.
PG - Jrue Holiday (My fav new player I drafted, very quick with the ball and a better shooter than Andre Miller)
SG - Vince Carter (This pick was a stretch and haven't used him yet. Time will tell how he gels)
SF - Danny Granger (Leading scorer in the league last season I believe. Expect another big season.)
PF - Taj Gibson (Great defense and rebounding ability and a former Trojan)
C - Marc Gasol (Plays better than his rating)
6th man - Chase Buddinger (I forget who had him last season but he killed me off the dribble and made some nice three balls and was glad to get him off the bench to fill in for VC's old ass.)
Looking forward to the season and getting the wood laid to me, lol.

Re: Season 2 Rosters
Celtics needed to address some size issues inside and while they did not get their targeted big men they added some solid rebounders and decent offense inside, to go along with some decent outside shooters. They were also able to return their top three scorers in Eric Gordon, Rudy Gay, and Thad Young and top assit man Kirk Hinrich. A solid athletic line-up that will defend hard and use their speed on the offensive end.
Starting Five:
PG - Kirk Hinrich
SG - Eric Gordon
SF - Rudy Gay
PF - Thaddeus Young
C - Kendrick Perkins
Bench:
Sixth Man: Tony Allen
Big Man: Mareese Speights
Solid Back-up PG: Jordan Farmar
Awesome Rebounder: Leon Powe
3pt threat: James Jones
Might see minutes: Darius Songaila
Oblivious Harvard Alum home in Boston: Jeremy Lin

Re: Season 2 Rosters
The Washington Wizards had great success in Season 1 and will look to continue that trend in Season 2 as they return the core of their team. Keeping 4 of their top 5 scorers from last year, they will have some big shoes to fill w/ Joe Johnson leaving for greener pastures.
Starters:
PG - Mike Bibby (Shoot first, ask questions later, the Green Light is always on...)
SG - Wesley Johnson (This high flying rookie is no Joe Johnson, but he can pour in some buckets)
SF - Andre Igoudala (Will average 6+ Sprite Slam Cam highlights a game)
PF - Kevin Love (Anchoring the front, he will have a much bigger role this season)
C - Greg Oden (Plans on playing like it's 2007)
Bench:
6th Man: Mickael Pietrus (Has proven to be dangerous regardless of minutes, will provide big energy off the bench)
Backup PG: Zabian Dowdell/Jerryd Bayless (Bayless to see reduced role as Coach VT plays favorites w/ a Hokie alumni)
Mr. Mismatch: Yi Jianlian (7 footer with range and can play 3 positions - Will log bigger minutes to mix it up for opponents)
Role Players: Courtney Lee, Brandan Wright, Cole Aldrich

Golden State Warriors Season 2 Roster-
Starters-
pg- Billups (back for his second season and looking to run the show. Played well in second half of the season last year, and looks to continue)
sg- Redd (should be a little more consistency for the #2 spot then from last year)
sf- Artest (will bring a defensive presence to the #3 spot )
pf- Dirk ( defense down lower will be slower, but the offense might excel with the range. going to be tough to replace 1st teamer Boozer, but dirk is able to play at a high level down low)
c- chandler (back and looking to anchor the defense down low with his shot blocking)
Bench
blatche- big guywho could play pf/c positon and will get plenty of minutes in each game
cj watson- back up pg/sg returning from last season
travis outlaw- sf/pf will play many minutes
von wafer/ raja bell will play minutes at the sg position
tolliver- he will be the human victory cigar. if he gets in ,it will be only if the game is out of hand

Re: Season 2 Rosters
Guess I'll redo my crappy ass attempt (plus I ddin't enjoy having it hijacked)
Here's the projected lineup for the Pistons:
PG John Wall--returning starter, hopes to do better this season as his jumper became more consistent and he has a pick/roll guy in Duncan
SG Steph Curry--returning starter, faded down the stretch in his shooting % but can play either guard spot and is terrific on D
SF Stephen Jackson--returning starter, athletic swingman uses his height and strength to be the shutdown defender, one of the best on-ball guys in the league.
PF Patrick Patterson--returning starter, athletic combo forward who is a terrific dunker and has a solid jumper, needs to be more consistent
C Tim Duncan--will be the lynchpin to this team; his inside presence will help on D, and his ability to pick and roll or pick and pop with Wall or Curry makes him lethal.
Bench:
PG Jose Calderon--a good offensive PG who can create while Wall sits, has a lighting quick release and can hit from outside
SF/SG Jared Dudley--great shooter off the bench who will provide go-to scoring when the 2nd unit is in the game, can take guys to the hole
SF/PF Omar Casspi--excellent shooter from quick release from long range, will struggle on defense but could easily replace McCants as the Pistons' top bench scorer
SG Anthony Morrow--another good shooter with a quick trigger, he might play a bigger role as the season goes along if I can get his shot down.
C Andris Biedrins, PF/C Joel Anthony, PF/C Hamady N'diaye: these three will not do much, although Anthony's 93 block rating will come in handy down low; they will mostly spell Duncan based on matchup and what is needed during that game.
All in all, I love this team, especially the starting 5; there is nowhere to attack the starting unit on offense, and defensively they're very tough to stop as all five can shoot from 20 feet and make it consistently, and Duncan's shooting should help open things up inside for Wall and Jackson to get to the rim. I just hope I can continue to improve as we go forward.
