you dont play the entire time.
after a while they start calling plays for you're player 75% of the time
not to mention on defense you will eventuall learnt he opposing plays as they run them and can leak for defensive rebounds which helps a lot.
i sink all my points into stuff i can use
all 3 shootings
layup
in traffic
vert
off consistency
durability (learned the hard way)
stamina
once you get those down you'll score enough to get plays called for you and then snowball that into more player points ...and use them on the boring stuff

This. I'm on All-Star, but I get a ton of open looks. Plus, even if I'm not open, I will get the ball and (instead of passing to the next guy), I'll call for a screen. Then I'll either get open for a shot, or I'll hit the roller for an assist. I also get a lot of shots in transition (thanks to Wall breaking them down) and I CRASH the offensive boards and am getting 3.4 per game. Those are easy points there. I put my points into the things listed above, especially consistency and SIT. Very important and since I've brought those two up, I'm hitting over 45% per game now.

Yea I usually score 10-15 or so per game, I'm a 3pt. Specialist PG. I add to 3pt shooting, other shootings, and off consistency.ajalves wrote:12 minutes....Seeitsaveit13 wrote:Same, guess I should switch to 15 min quarters, I just hate playing for that long and only getting through 1 gameajalves wrote:Seeitsaveit13 wrote:Yea no shit. I love sneaking in for boards, because as a PG you get like half the meter filled for 1 board. If the shot clock is low and I'm at the arc, I run in as soon as I see them shoot. Only problem is I'm only 6'0" so Bynum and Artest always steal my boards (pau too). I love this mode though

Re: My Player
My player just blew up the last five games. I've averaged a double-double in those games highlighted by an 18-16 effort against the Knicks. My last game was a 12 points, 9 rebound, 6 assist night.
Also, I freaking hate playing with Jamal Crawford. When Bibby or Jeff Teague aren't in the game he runs the point. His specialty is to stand 30 feet from the basket and dribble down the shot clock to 6 seconds then jack up a ridiculous three. Anybody know the button combo to "accidentally" undercut his ass next time he drives to the basket? It's probably L2-something. Everything is L2-something in this game.

Yeah, Wall does that sometimes. That said, I can beat this.
We're down 3 with 7 seconds left to the Heat. I'm the best three-point shooter, I want the ball. So Hinrich takes the ball out....and stands there....and stands there....and won't inbound the ball to me, to Wall, to ANYBODY. 5 second call. Now they inbound to Eddie House and I foul him. He goes to the line....misses the first....misses the second. I grab the rebound and call timeout.
So now Hinrich is inbounding from the exact same spot, inside halfcourt on the sideline. And he DOES THE SAME FUCKING THING. This time they inbound and I foul and House hits the shots, and we lose.

Gotta run the inbounds play that they called. If you don't, they'll just stand there (sometimes)jsence2 wrote:LetsGoPeay wrote:My player just blew up the last five games. Re: My Player
One thing I really don't like is that if you're in transition and you stop the ball but the guy scores on the break you take a hit on your grade even though someone else was guarding him. It does the same thing if you get switched off to another guy in a screen or something too. That sucks.

Ive noticed this too peay. i think it does this only if you dont run the guy coming off the screen enough to slow him down in time to let the other guy get to him. This works about 75% of hte time for me.

Re: My Player
My first season is finished. The Hawks had a winner-take-all game with the Bobcats in the last game of the season. Both teams were tied for the final playoff spot at 39-42. The Hawks lost by four and my season was over. I ended up averaging 9ppg and 7rpg after a very slow start and made the All-Rookie 2nd Team. The Mavericks beat the Celtics in the finals. LeBron was MVP and Dirk was finals MVP.
By the end of the season I was clearly the team's third option. I was the third option mainly because Jamal Crawford made himself the first option at all times and everyone else had to scramble for touches. Highlights of my season: a 26-14 game against the Celtics, a 10 point-10 rebound-6 assist-4 block game against the Pistons, and a ridiculous block of a Dwight Howard dunk attempt that caused both players to fall down during a late season game. I really wish I had saved the replay of that, or at least a picture.
Anyway, being a 2nd round pick, my contract was up after the season and I was a free agent. I had my choice of resigning with the Hawks or going to the Magic, Bobcats, Jazz, or Pistons. The Magic were very thin at the PF with only Brandon Bass on the roster so that's where I went. In my first game with the Magic, which I started, I went for 13 and 11. I may regret this move though since Gilbert Arenas appears to be worse than Jamal Crawford. Not only does he shoot every ball that touches his hands, but he plays more minutes and as the true PG, he always has the ball.
I've improved my close, inside, and post scoring so that they're all in the mid 80's and I have both of my dunk ratings in the high 70's. A weird thing though is that I've maxed out my vertical at 90. Why would a maxed out rating be a 90? Why not just make it 100?

Probably either due to:
1) your height
2) your position
I think it's to prevent guys who put their player at max height from being able to jump 15 feet in the air.
