I care about trophies

out of curiousity, why?

I am in a clan and I play with Ps3 junkies. Trophies are a mark of accomplishment in beating a game. Anything from beating a game to scoring a td on a kick return in ncaa can be a trophy.

SOOO. you compete against others to get more trophies, or get certain trophies that are hard to get.

Sammy and I both do it.

Its just like winning an imaginary football game. Your happy when you win. I am happy when I beat a game and get a platinum trophy for doing every single thing possible, and mastering a game.

Its just like prestige in cod or a banner for a player award in this league, or the Ndl Hall of fame.

Seriously though, I just got a phone call from work. We have just managed to reconfigure one of our old PS3 dev kits and have got it online. So this is promising. now on the bad side of things we are suffering from a huge loss in data. And we've been using a dev console so as to whether or not this will transpire down to normal fat boy I don't know.

Secondly, if you switch your PS3 on you could well be fucked. Think carefully about this, we've lost data and we can't get this back. Sony are not making any guarantees.


Bad news, there is a possibility, and take this as a very very remote possibility. But what we're seeing is a complete non recognisable set of code relating to the Servers and the consoles. Now we've got a team working on it at work, and they can't seem to get the clock to align with the online servers, Obviously this is what Sony are working towards, we've been down to our local store and physically purchased consoles to try out theories and we've got multiple PS3's open on the desks and we're having no luck. At the very worst, you're looking at hardware issue.

Time stamped files are becoming corrupt because they don't recognize them basically.

The system is attacking itself. You could never have even been plugged into the internet and this would have happen.

My buddy has zero internet and he called me last night pissed off.

You can't play online. You can't play new games. You can't play downloaded content. Basicly your Ps3 is now a ps2 that can play blue rays and never get online.

They'll fix all that though, or they'll have to buy everyone a new slim. The only thing you might lose long term is the trophy stuff if they're forced to reset some things.

yeah so when you send your PS3 in for repairs and you pay that 150 bucks or whatever the hell I paid, doesn't that come with a "warranty"? If so how long does it go for?? I can't remember...but I am thinking if this fucks us all I hope I am still covered so I don't have to pay that shit again... WOW this sucks.

Prolly 90 days, which is standard.

As much of a headache as I had with the walmart warranty place, I got a check for purchase price plus tax. I bought a new slim and got 300 dollars to boot. Sony has pooped the bed with the ps3.
