I know George wanted more Zion stats, so I got just that for George!
Zion's the 4th youngest player in the NBA, a couple of tidbits:
- The Zion post up is the best play in the game in terms of efficiency, with Harden Iso, Luka Iso, Lebron Iso coming in at 2, 3, and 4
- Zion leads the league in points per touch
- Zion leads the league in 2nd chance points
- Zion is 2nd to Giannis in points in the paint
- Zion has scored at least 20 in 8 of his 1st 10 games. Only other player to do that: MJ
- Zion has had more points than minutes played in 3 of his 1st 10 games, no one has ever done that before
- The statistical difference between the Pels with Zion on the floor vs off the floor is the difference between the Lakers and the Warriors this season
But it's all just sample size, he'll come back to life as a bust in no time.

He never said he was a bust Shel. Just that he wouldn’t be a top 20 player, break the home run record and rush for 2k yards. Geez, pay attention

This is where I am callous to this. I think it's been a little over done and is a money grab to be honest, why charge for a memorial. Maybe I'm just an asshole, oh well.

Fell asleep watching the Lakers/Pels game last night too.
Shel, I am sure you watch the most Pels games here. Does Zion shoot a jumper or just play down below? Not knocking it as I love it because it reminds me of old school low block play. He does seem to take a lot of plays off where he'll just stand on the weakside in nomans land and 1/2 the time not even crash to the boards on a shot. Maybe it was just last night

Me being on day shift has hurt my hoops watching the last 2 months so I have not seen Zion play much but things like crashing the glass are nowhere near as popular a strategy as it used to be with everyone focusing on betting back on D and limiting fast break opportunities. Pels have a ton of weapons too so if they are running a 2 man game with Jrue and Ingram or something then his role would probably be to hang weak side. Lack of effort has never been an issue with Zion. Probably more team strategy stuff I'd guess.

But crashing the boards should be his forte, he is averaging 7.1 boards as a PF. I see a lot of jogging back on defense. Tere were a couple where the fast break is happening and he is only a couple of steps back but jogging back. Could be it just appears he is jogging as it is effortless for him.

He's shooting about 1 per game and making 41%. Enough to make you respect the shot and keep some space.

Everyone else set those standards. But for one of the top 3 athletic guys in the NBA he should have more boards as a big guy. I didn't even look at blocks but if he isn't averaging 1 a game then......bust!
