My first thought when I saw he signed with me was "Oh sh*$, I didn't export my new offer". To see you posting this makes me smile.

I was offering that idiot $120M+ for 6 years but he kept holding off. All the negative talk about him scared me so I changed my offer to basically $5M a year. Yeah, I'll give up a 1st round pick for Nieves at $5M a year

Even if he is a closer now he is a high end one and cheap. Hate to say this to my nemisis but good signing

This has got to be a game glitch right? Like we see some guys with worse ratings and worse stats that ask for way more than he was asking lmao. Oh well looks like i made a good decision on not resigning him and i'll take a comp pick haha

I offered a similar deal to CKV, I think I offered 4 years/$16mil total.

At $5M a season he's definitely worth the gamble. Worst case scenario is what Corey pointed out, he becomes my closer. He also provides Very High Leadership for the team, which my owner has been on to me about getting for a while.

We'll give him a shot at SP during the spring while crossing our fingers. Can't imagine he'll be hard to move if I decide I don't want him later this season though. $5M for a premiere closer with the last two years being TO's. Someone out there will want that.

Well I'm sad to see Lou go to PO. I was told by him that Seattles offer was the best when I was negotiating. So I offered a tad more.

Offered Juan Torres. I was giving him more money per year, but less years than Houston. Guess longevity won out.

I'm pretty sure the website will be back to normal starting tomorrow. In the past when this has happened it is always towards the very last day or two of the month. Could just be a coincidence
