Or a more hands off approach and robotic type managing of a franchise.
Pretty sure Boston did a whole lot more of that than any of us last year...nick wrote:just win baby
Have you guys had experience with a guy being out that long for concussion type injuries. That seems awfully scary to me.DRWebs wrote:Another new one in 17...Jack Welch says he won't sign for me because his personality clashes too much with my manager Manny Diaz (personable)
You're right. It is affecting his ability to make rational decisions and lose a lot of money.wdoupis wrote:Have you guys had experience with a guy being out that long for concussion type injuries. Minus the ones that counted.DRWebs wrote:Pretty sure Boston did a whole lot more of that than any of us last year...nick wrote:just win baby
I also had a PCS player who came back and for all intents and purposes seems fine - Jorge GarciaCnasty wrote:You're right. Honestly though, yes we have seen guys retire from that type of injury.
What a loser!!!Cnasty wrote:Minus the ones that counted.DRWebs wrote:Pretty sure Boston did a whole lot more of that than any of us last year...nick wrote:just win baby
Who did Shel have in the rotation besides Jamison? Hard to imagine a better rotation for one year than yours right now sans a LOLCATS team I wouldn't rememberCnasty wrote:My team has the makeup of those "successful" Sheltown teams.
Star power
Great pitching
Underachieving results
We really are BFF!!
Your best pitcher is Calvin Jamison and your best hitter is Miguel Castaneda, you're on the right track!!!Cnasty wrote:My team has the makeup of those "successful" Sheltown teams.
In my glory years of the back to back 112 and 113 win seasons, I had Jamison, Mike McGee(that was when he won back to back Cy Young's), Ian Hairston who also pitched lights out(winning at least 1 Cy Young during that stretch), and the 1st couple of years of Jack Wolfe, again who also pitched really well.DRWebs wrote:Who did Shel have in the rotation besides Jamison? Edit: not a dig at Shel's team just don't know the history
I have 6 very talented, top of the rotation guys on most teams right now.DRWebs wrote:Hard to imagine a better rotation for one year than yours right now sans a LOLCATS team I wouldn't remember
Don't think it didn't hurt me. But I had to make a move to younger. I don't think Moran and Arosa are a Denson type pitcher, but the two together will be formidable for years, especially in the NL.Cnasty wrote:I have 6 very talented, top of the rotation guys on most teams right now.DRWebs wrote:Hard to imagine a better rotation for one year than yours right now sans a LOLCATS team I wouldn't remember
That said, I still think Cincy with a 3 of Esparza, Denson, and Campbell are better.
I still can't believe Cookeville traded Denson....to Cincy....who is 26....26!!!!!!!!!!
Painful. Freakin Pete.
