Have you guys had experience with a guy being out that long for concussion type injuries. That seems awfully scary to me.

You're right. It is affecting his ability to make rational decisions and lose a lot of money.


Honestly though, yes we have seen guys retire from that type of injury.

Who did Shel have in the rotation besides Jamison? Hard to imagine a better rotation for one year than yours right now sans a LOLCATS team I wouldn't remember

In my glory years of the back to back 112 and 113 win seasons, I had Jamison, Mike McGee(that was when he won back to back Cy Young's), Ian Hairston who also pitched lights out(winning at least 1 Cy Young during that stretch), and the 1st couple of years of Jack Wolfe, again who also pitched really well.

Probably not as good as Corey's rotation, but I think my lineup was more formidable than my rotation though.

The hitters I had were a prime 11 WAR Miggy, Charlie SPencer, Fujita, Sixto Silva, Jaime Ruiz, Sergio Gutierrez, and Alex Meyers who had a 9.4 WAR in one of those seasons.

That said, I still think Cincy with a 3 of Esparza, Denson, and Campbell are better.

I still can't believe Cookeville traded Denson....to Cincy....who is 26....26!!!!!!!!!!

Don't think it didn't hurt me. But I had to make a move to younger. I don't think Moran and Arosa are a Denson type pitcher, but the two together will be formidable for years, especially in the NL.
