There hasn't been one today. i was looking at it earlier, and figured it would straighten itself out, but there still hasn't been one, and we only have 2 more games left. Dayton is gonna have to knock of providence to make it happen.
Wonder when the last time there was a first thursday/friday without one...?
Would be the first time since the field expanded to 64 teams, that the rd of 64 had a day without a single upset.
That being said, the announcer jinx is officially in, and Dayton is a damn good team, playing in Columbus, I'd guess we wake up to a Dayton win. But who knows

i was talking about this with my buddies and its purely anecdotal but i feel like there are upsets on Thursday and then Friday is far more tame over the years.Seeitsaveit13 wrote: Wonder when the last time there was a first thursday/friday without one...?

the Harrison's just aren't good.
pretty amazing they don't run Booker and Ullis more. i know they like the 5 in 5 out strategy, but if they just kept those 2 on the court they'd be so much better (as silly as them 'being better' sounds)

One, it's their size. Two, they are able to get inside whenever they want. And three, Aaron is ice cold from that left wing.
Booker is in a slump. I think if he sees one go in, he's gonna explode. This is how he started the season, hit one late in 2nd game vs Kansas.... Then hit 18 of 24 from downtown the next four games.

S14: N Texas 7-1
S15: Wake 8-5
S16-21: Washington 9-4, 10-3, 8-5, 9-4, 7-6, 6-7
S22: Ohio 8-5
S23: ECU 12-2
S24-26: Kentucky 8-5, 5-7, 5-7

Booker in a slump is better than either Harrison on their best day.
Booker is going to be (and sort of already is) a star, Harrisons aren't good at basketball.

Booker in a slump is a liability, he's not a great defender. Andrew isn't that good, but Aaron has ice water in his veins and is hitting threes right now.
I think he will do well in NBA as a SG, but I don't hold much hope for Andrew. But right now, Booker is frustrated and it's affecting him
Now Ulis... He is phenomenal and be should be starting

this Kentucky team plays very similar to the 06 UConn team that lost to George Mason.
that was probably one of the most talented UConn teams ever but just didn't get it done vs George Mason
UConn had:
Marcus Williams 6'3 Denham Brown 6'6 Rudy Gay 6'8 Hilton Armstrong 6'11 Josh Boone 6'11 and then Jeff Adrien 6'7 and Rashad Anderson 6'5 off the bench
6 of those dudes went on to play in the NBA and at that point we led the country in blocked shots every season. our bigs weren't nearly as athletic as Kentuckys but the overall structures of the teams were pretty similar.
i remember thinking there was no way that team would ever lose, it took a special effort where George Mason just didn't miss and got a couple of our dudes in foul trouble. its gonna take something similar to beat Kentucky.

Aaron w some huge threes, and Andrew w some physical drives to the rim in the latter stages of the Game. Both played big roles in win. Lyles, though, was the reason we won. He was terrific out there.

Only one question remains, will these Harrison twins be cutting down nets like former Cat Julius Randle?

UK is incredibly talented, incredibly athletic... but they get out hustled and beat on the boards by much smaller squads. I really think that's going to haunt them.

Michigan state played really good defense to start. Not getting much on offense other than that spurt by Trice
