I always anticipate the drop and close my eye. I need someone else to pry my lids open and dump in the drop

I wear contacts on the weekends and I had problems too.
The wife showed me a fool proof way in pulling your bottom eye lid out and just dropping it in that little pocket. Screw the head tilt, awkward anticipating way that I used to do. This way is super easy.

Ive never done a 5k. Maybe being in a more competitive environment would make it more enjoyable, although Im doubtful

I like those mud runs and obstacle course runs. don't like doing more than 5-6 miles though.
