ReignOnU wrote:If that's really your best set of players... I'd keep Blount and Stewart. 6-7 seems reasonable for your 3rd and 4th RBs. Stewart could end up being a value now that he's the lone back in Carolina (kind of). Blount is out week 1, but he's a big dude and even if he ended up splitting carries down the stretch, he'd still likely maintain goalline duties. That still makes him reasonably valuable.
Not necessarily the best players, just guys that I could keep below market value. I was really considering Landry, but a lot of his value would come from return yardage, which we don't count. Thanks for the reply, I'll probably be going that route

I pulled off what I thought was a pretty slick move in my draft, auction-style keeper league. Keepers are auction price + $5 for next season, or $15 for anyone undrafted. The Blount/Stewart keepers I mentioned earlier turned out to be undrafted, so their costs were $15 each, and J Nelson injured himself which cost me another keeper.

The key to a league like this is finding the undervalued gems that can pay off in the future, which leads to guys having monster teams with little cost due to keepers. For instance, Johnny started his team with keepers: CJ Anderson $15, Luck $24, and L Bell $20. So a lot of the top guys are already taken, and my team is shit. So I go for value and looking for low cost, high upside players.

I was able to sock money away, and by the last two rounds or so I had $25 left and most guys were down to under $5. I won K Benjamin for $3 and J Nelson for $5. I caught everyone off guard (which actually surprised me, I thought at least another one or two guys would have thought the same thing) and by then nobody had the cash to get into a bidding war. Already looking forward to next season, this season we're rebuilding!

Just finished by final draft, 14 team league, standard scoring. I feel really good about it!
QB- Sam Bradford/Teddy Bridgewater
RB- Adrian Peterson
RB- Lamar Miller
WR- Randall Cobb
WR- Jeremy Maclin
TE- Delanie Walker
FLEX- TJ Yedlin
D- Vikings
K- Josh Scobee

Bench- Nelson Agholor, John Brown, and Bridgewater

I basically punted QB and TE... lucked into a late round TE who looks to be a top 10 guy. Have 2 legit RBs and maybe even a 3rd option at flex which in a 14 team league is great.

Bradford may pay off, if so, very nice team.. I think Maclin is the guy that everyone overlooked this season
