Just thinking about it while watching and I’m sure I’m wrong but does Bama ever play true road non-conference games like this Vs decent teams ?

I don't think so. Usually it's in Atlanta or something like that

Bama said last one he can remember was against Penn State in 2002 or 2012...can't remember what he said. But at least 10 years

Bama played Penn St when Minkah was on team. Can’t remember what year it was. Do neutral site games usually but no more. Home and home vs Texas. Wisconsin, FSU, Ohio state and ND in next 10 years.
Ugly. Texas played well. Bama didn’t. Lots of self inflicted stuff but also Texas caused a lot. Glad to see Bama pull it out.

I think I heard earlier this season that this would be Alabama’s third non-conference road win under Saban. As mentioned before, usually neutral site for early games.
