Trump signed an executive order to defer payroll tax. Starts today. You will see higher paychecks the next four months. However, you will now see lower paychecks the first 4 months of 2021.
Trump for the next 2 months: "I've lowered your payroll taxes to unprecedented levels!"

Americans in early 2021: "Trump just screwed us so bad! I can't afford anything!"

Here’s what Trump’s payroll-tax deferral could mean for your paycheck

If I'm reading this article correctly, the median household would see approximately $1220 total over that 4 months (Sept - Dec) worth of paychecks. So instead of doing a stimulus check paying out that amount you'll see about $152 extra per paycheck.

If you're making over $104,000 annually you're excluded.

I wasn't aware of the details, appreciate the posts.

I like that this has an option to opt in/out, from an individual perspective. It has to be a nightmare for some small businesses though.

Sounds bout right. If Biden is elected, it’s his fault your checks are lowered.

Flip side what can Our President tell Social security and Medicare voters currently with this suspension of the Tax?

You don't get to claim you're a wing just because you feel like it.

Good ole Nanci.

She says the salon set her up and that they owe her an apology, which I find quite laughable

Updated the link.

I've been to multiple bars that were acting as speak easy when we were in full on shut down mode here. Small businesses are hurting the most here

This troll tweet pretty much sums it up

Trump saying trumpy things again.

If you don't think your mail-in ballot got counted because its lost in the mail, go in person and vote again. Thats the gist of what i got from his open mouth and say whatever approach to anything.

Whats the sympathizers translation of that?

Pretty sure I'm going to watch the debates for the first time ever for the comedy of it all with Trump vs Biden.

Sad but we're here now, may as well watch and laugh at it.

Mass mail in voting is not the answer. 5 states do it now but it took more than 4 months to get the systems in place to have a secure election. If people are worried about voting in person then request an absentee ballot, that is not hard at all. But, the democrats wants mass distribution of ballots hoping people that normally would not have gone out to vote or too lazy to request an absentee ballot will send one in. Democrats also want as early as possible voting for these mail in ballots so people will not see how far cognitive-wise Joe Biden has fallen.
In the video, the 77-year-old Biden says, "COVID has taken this year — just since the outbreak — has taken 100 year. Look, here's...the lives...it's just...I mean, think about it. More lives this year than any other year for the past 100 years."
edit: I always find it funny that Biden supporters will chalk up that horrible babble of words to his stuttering problem. I thought stuttering usually affected letters and syllables not a whole sentence.

Are mail in ballots something new?

If not, why isn't the system in place already?

in the sense that the democrats want to do it in, yes they are new.

The only "mail in" system we have now is requesting an absentee ballot. You HAVE to request it. The mail in system the dems want is a mass mail to all registered voters. Take me for an example. I just moved and don't have a new address yet, they would send my mail in ballot to my old address. If people haven't updated their address on their voter registration in the last 4 years then they could potentially not get a ballot or someone get a ballot that isn't theirs.

no!

Here in Nebraska we can do mail in. But to get a mail in ballot you have to return a card requesting it with your signature that has to match what is on record. They want to bypass everything and just send them out.

Colorado had mail in system as well, worked the same as Nebraska
