why was it ridiculous? Is the game over? no. Arizona fumbled on a almost non fumble play, why cant Eli?

if i'm reading this right, Sproles has 22 passing targets thru 2 games and 0 rushing attempts.
every team will be using a Sproles type RB in a few years. we already see McCluster, Harvin, Rainey for Pitt, all being used in a similar sense of lining them up in different spots and finding ways to get them the ball in space.

Yea, I know he gets lots of looks in the passing game, but I don't get why he hasn't had a carry yet.
He led the league with something like 7 yards per carry last season.

lol I was watching the Indy-Min telecast and they spoke like if they redid the NFL draft, Harvin would go #1 overall.

cause running a 5'7 HB through the tackles is a way to take milage off him when he can catch it out in the flats and get tackled by a CB

Was the hit illegal? Still haven't seen that answered.
If so, I still don't get it, to be honest. Or I should say, I get it, but I think it's silly to be upset about.

i dont even know what you're talking about to be honest? have you seen the highlights of the NY Giants kneeling it out and the Bucs torpedoing the center's knees and knocking them over

there really is no debating it. it was stupid and dirty.

What?
How am I supposed to take the answer "injury" to the question "was the hit illegal?"

Unwritten rule of football that Tampa bay said "nope we still gonna go 100% "could have led to injury since NYG was kneeling and not expecting to be hit.

What if, since it was not expected, Eli fumbles and Tampa picks it up? Not likely, but more likely if they're not expecting it.
I still haven't seen the hit, but if it's like AJ says where guys were going into the center's knees, yea that's dirty.
But I think unwritten are dumb, just my opinion. If the NYG Oline is just standing there while Eli takes a few steps back and doesn't kneel right away, I have zero issue with a lineman legally and in a clean way flying through the line and hitting Manning. I'm sure most will disagree, no biggie.

The way the play went, the defensive line tried to submarine the entire offensive line, so guys were diving into knees/quads/ankles. The offensive line got rolled back and they knocked Eli down. No Tampa player ever touched Eli, so if he fumbled when he hit the ground the play would be dead anyway as it would only be a fumble if Tampa caused it via a hit.

I bet the Giants Oline will be ready next time they're in that situation.

I see both sides of the argument but it is still dickheadish. Like a team down 28 and calling time outs with under a minute to go. They are showing mercy. Take it.
