I straight up don't understand how this game uses the bullpen-
Michael Murphy hasn't allowed a run all year, but for some reason my manager hasn't pitched him since May 18th? He hasn't been injured at all, just hasn't pitched.

Are you guys bringing up prospect arms even though they haven't met their potential in their overall?
Seems they never do recently with the guys I have yet their individual ratings (pitches/control/movement/stuff) are all topped out.
I haven't seen one arm meet their potential in a SP prospect in over 3 or 4 seasons it seems.
I normally bring them up when they are "expectation is Major Leagues" combined with the minor league system report and their current ratings.
I may be killing these young arms though because they never reach full overall vs potential.

Colby Mills was brought up before reaching his potential 3 years ago, his stuff/movement/control/all 3 pitches (blue) are all maxed out. Still hasn't reached his potential. Makes little to no sense

ive noticed that the current ability rating is seems much more dynamic than previous versions.
So if a guy is playing bad relative to his ratings the current will be lower- but that is anecdotal

How does this factor into minor leaguers coming into the pros their first year?

I believe it doesn't at all which probably answers your question above. No spec should really come in with OVR = POT due to this setting.
