Not to excuse Sterling, but the guy is old, white, and rich. If you were to conduct a study to try and figure out which demographic is the most out of touch with the world, it would be the old, white, rich one. He only interacts with minorities when they are employees or women he wants to fuck. Again, not an excuse but he's just clueless. Also, that conversation really looks like she was leading him. I'm sure it's not the first time he's expressed his views to her and it's no coincedence that she just so happened to be equipped to record this particular conversation.
That said, I have no idea if the NBA can force someone to sell their team but his best business option now is to do it because no minority is going to choose to work for him and people are going to stay away from games in droves. I'd imagine that the he'll have to sell for less than the club its currently worth but thats still a monstrous profit over what he originally bought it for.

Raptors have an incredible fan base. 20 000 or so outside the ACC cheering even in away games. Gonna head down for next game

I would think that the NBA is just making sure they get rid of him "the right way" so to speak, and don't rush it and give Sterling the option of suing the crap out of the league for being "forced" out.

Seems like exactly why she was doing it.
Doesn't make the dude right but he was setting up on a tee with a lot of those questions.
And this story is the perfect example of why I cannot stand to turn on ESPN anymore as they will saturate the shit out of you with their bullshit over and over and over again.

Sadly he isnt the only owner of a major franchise to have the same beliefs but he happened to get caught on a recording saying it.
