Lolll some of you never grew up in hoods. I asked even my conservative black friends and they’re like meh.
I'm sure you'd keep that consistency if it were Trump
Nothing against Nick, but who cares what our Canadian brethren have to say

I just find it funny that a left leaning friend said they didn't see anything bad here and that cocaine was more of a white man drug but if he said it was crack then there was a gotcha moment. Won't say who it was though unless they want to fess up to it.
Biden has on multiple occasions come out and said blatantly racist things in the past 2 months. You ain't black if you don't vote for me (or something pretty similar to that) and asking a guy if he had a drug test for cocaine. Both would have led to years of news coverage by the left leaning media if Trump had said them.
And let's not blow over the whole cognitive test part of it. He claimed a month ago that he gets tested daily.....DAILY! And in this interview he said he has never been tested. I'll give him a pass I guess since he probably already forgot about it

IMO Neither Joe Biden nor President Trump speeches will be studied by scholars in a positive way in the future. Both of them are extremely painful to listen to.
Either side attacking the other for oratory prowess is laughable at best. I mean shit. Left and right, do either one of these guys wow you at a podium? They both leave me shaking my head. More so trump because 1) more examples and 2) he’s our fucking President.

The debates are going to be hilarious... and so sad.
People are going to take the debates sooooo seriously and the Left will say Biden won, and the Right will say Trump won and the reality is we all lost but we should be tuning into a debate for the same reason you would to watch a comedy, to laugh at it.

for the record im not a biden guy either. hes lesser of 2 evils and imo more likely to assemble a better team around him and actually listen. That and the fact that if Trump or Biden die during their term (73 and 77 yrs old) id much rather Kamala Harris type as the Prez than Mike Pence.

Watching the Wallace and Axios interview and how trump handles any sort of push back is douche chill worthy. Call me cynical because I know it’s all an illusion but I like the appearance of humility and responsibility from leaders. Maybe even some every man sprinkled in there. IMO our president has zero of those things as strengths.

As much as you might hate to hear this... most conservatives take this stance on most things. Even more so when they are libertarian. When the comments like "can only imagine what would happen if Trump said this," come out, it's mostly in jest. I really don't give a shit what Biden said today or 20 years ago. It's all just pointing out how ridiculous many on the left are when it comes to things offending them or someone they hate.
My only real issue is that the stance I have of not giving a shit about stuff seems to be quickly turning into a heavy minority. It's as if I'm a heartless asshole if I can't find something offensive.

I'm all for calling November a draw, no one advances and we get to submit new options for a redo in January. Who's with me?

I don’t find this to be really any more true or false on either side to be honest. At least in my experience down here in the Bible Belt. The right is as vocal and whinny as any person on the left. I’m sure it’s always the vocal minority.
This is one of many examples of FB friends who live in my town. This is pure serious and not joking.

I'm not so sure about the left declaring victory. He's already got a lot of resistance and how they handle is likely poor showings in debates is going to have a lot of sway. I think Trump is behind right now and disregarding whatever wild ass stuff is going to happen away from politics in the next few months, I believe that Trump can swing the vote back his way through the debates. I fully expect Biden to dodge as much debate time as possible. While Trump's an brash fool on the stage, Joe may be the 2nd most incompetent person I've seen in a debate... shout out to the weird flower child author lady. Trumps fatal mistake when it comes to a debate would be taking that brashness too far... trying to go for the kill shot every single time and ultimately overstepping repeatedly, to the point that it allows the media to pounce all over him and take the light away from Biden's mistakes and lack of ability on the stage.
As for VPs... I'm perfectly fine with 4yrs of Pence, a Dem house and a Rep senate. Pence couldn't pull off anything too crazy and would align with any of the things that I value personally. If Biden does some crazy shit and pulls in someone like Abrams/Warren... whew, could you imagine 1 of them with a Dem house and tight senate.

“If Biden wins the election then the Clintons will Epstein him and the Vice President elect and Pelosi will run the country. How do you feel about civil war 2? Conservatives vs Liberal idiots. Hey but the virus and coin shortage will end.”
Maybe. My personal experience is that nearly every left leaning person I know hates Trump, looks for anything to nitpick him. With exception to the crazy near-Alex Jones level rednecks, folks that side right don't tend to talk politics much and usually just joke about the Epstien Island and the Clintons.
Interesting that you use that example though. While there may be a group of 5% that think it would happen, about 80% would laugh at it and say "probably' then never give it another thought. It's just the mentality. You see so many things over time that add up, seem to get danced around or not discussed by the media and you become immune to it and just make jokes about it.
As for the part about the virus/coin shortage in FB comment... I also find it funny. I do think the way that COVID is covered would be much different under a Dem president. If Biden wins, you can quote this post. While your comment is suggesting it's a hoax, I certainly don't believe that. But I do fully believe that the communication we get from the media, the comments on social media, and to an extent, even the policies that are in place, will all be different.
I drove my family down to Dale Hollow last weekend and on the drive, both of these topics came up. My wife is middle of the road, formerly left and her whole circle of friends being mid to far left. I've discussed the data with her in detail and told her a few different ways it would be different. I explained why certain things have happened like they have in Ohio and nationally. Then I asked her about the coin shortage and what she thought. When we started dating 20 years ago, we both worked in retail and I've been through all levels of the industry. We mapped out the cash/coin cycles (they are opposite if you didn't know) and then discussed what situations would cause a shortage. There was only 1 real trigger that she and I could come up with that would cause it... every other part of the chain is either A.) functional or B.) not a contributing factor due to supply/demand and flow. So while your FB guy is likely suggesting all of the tin foil shit, for anyone that looks at it objectively, there's something there.
Coming off that point, here's what I'd tell you is happening, if you pay close attention... a lot of "people" (including government/businesses) are using COVID as an opportunity to test boundaries and push limits. I'm not telling you that this is some crazy socialist takeover. But what I am telling you is that in this political climate and with the COVID impact being what it is, there are a lot of things going on that can lead to serious changes to our day to day lives. I'm sure I've posted it here at least once, if not many times... after every single major event/tragedy in the US, we have come out more efficient in stronger due to adaptations that we've made. We're going to see that (most will point to work from home). But there's just a lot of stuff that I'm not understanding completely and there are too many questions as to why.
Another topic we hit on the way down was that Mike DeWine decided that bars can't sell drinks after 10p and patrons must consume them by 11p. His reasoning was that people drink too much and when they drink, they get too close. Understand, I rarely drink, you could go back to prohibition and it wouldn't impact me at all... but I'm 100% certain that either DeWine is a damn fool, there's a personal hidden agenda (doesn't make sense to me) or someone is in his ear (or pockets). It's true, people get closer when they drink. You know what else people do? When you tell them they can't order after 10p, they show up earlier and drink a helluva faster or just pregame a little more. So instead of having 400 patrons spread out from 6p to 2a, with a relatively steady flow with a lower peak and a steady slope on the backend hours for their level of intoxication, you're going to get 375 patrons (a few stay home) cramming in before 10p, getting smashed in a tighter window, then all hitting the roads. More people in the window, higher intoxication in the window. This shit isn't advanced statistics.

11:30a EST... all eyes on NY AG. Allegedly a big announcement regarding Deutsche Bank and Trump. No idea what would be required criminally to impede his presidency, but enough open questions during the last few months heading into the election would be a tough blow (see my note earlier about non-political stuff coming up).

I still have a hard time believing that Biden is going to be on the ticket. Anyone really think he is fit to be president? Politics aside give me some reason why anyone really thinks he has the stamina to do the job.
