They should just rename them to some European nation at this point.

Probably could amount to a whole lot of nothing but that could potentially have a Kawhi effect.

It's not much of a secret that Danny Green is waiting on Kawhi to make a decision. If Kawhi stayed in Toronto, so would DG. If not, Green was supposedly going to go to the Mavs.

With this signing, I don't think the Mavs have cap room to add Green. Obviously, the Mavs could have just gotten tired of waiting and moved on from Green. But there's a chance that the Mavs moved on because Green is no longer available, because he's going back to Toronto with Kawhi.

btw Q. how doesnt that Dudley's cap hit effect the Lakers? I used to play in a basketball sim league so I know theres so many little rules and exceptions etc etc.. but wouldnt they have to sign Kawhi, then Dudley or something?

the thing i miss about the ball sim days is it was during Lebrons prime so everyone traded for him cause he would 100/100 times take the max for the most money.

Basically, this.

They'd sign Kawhi first and essentially be over or at the cap. Once you're at the cap with only 4 guys on your roster, you can go over the cap to sign guys only on minimum contracts and the exceptions. So Dudley would fall under the minimum and thus not effect cap space and/or how much they can offer Kawhi.

Subsequent tweets say the Mavs still can sign Green, false alarm!

Lots of Kawhi to Toronto smoke still out there this morning.

Is there an OOTP version for basketball or something like it that is good?
I am interested.

I know there's one called Draft Day sports or something. I downloaded the demo, played for 10 minutes and was done.

It wasn't realistic at all. First example I found, with free agents, there's no negotiating, if you wanted a guy you just clicked a button and he was yours. As soon as I saw that, i was out.

There's a web based game called Basketball GM that is ok, but still doesn't do a good job of emulating a real sim. Honestly, the best one out there is NBA2K, they do a pretty good job.

nah it was the most basic game ever. Fast break basketball. 1 commish would sim and we'd have to post depth charts daily (if u wanted same just wrote "same") and he'd sim a week. it had like 7 cats for attributes and when offseason came out we'd have public forum threads to post bids on players so everyone could see everyones bid. Commish would put in, sim and ya.

Also, aren't no deals "official" until Noon Saturday (7/6)? These contracts are agreed to but not signed at this point, no?

An OOTP like NBA sim would be epic.

Funny thing is, I think for a full league of 30 guys like we do here, it would probably be a huge mess. We'd probably have 10-15 teams tanking to 10 win seasons.

Nonetheless, I wish one existed. I just would take getting 30 XBox dudes together to run a 2K sim, that would be fine.

Correct, none of the deals we've heard are actually official until the 6th.

Same with the AD trade, he's technically a Pel until that same day.

2k was $2.99 on PS4/XBox recently (or something ridiculously low).

You would be proud.

MLSE’s Private jet is slated to arrive from LAX to Toronto in about 30 minutes, per source. Masai and Bobby Webster are already in Toronto. Take that as you will.
