Re: NDL Hoops Season Thread
The Hornets end the Knicks 15 game winning streak with a 83-78 victory in New Orleans.
Hornets got an MVP like performance from Chris Paul, who scored 29 points on 12 of 19 shooting, had 8 assists and steals, making Hornets fans forget all about Curry, West, and Afflalo.
Hornets came out of the gate really cold, but NYK wasn't lighting it up either, and the Hornets trailed by 6 after 1, then trailed 40-32 at the half.
The Hornets came out firing in the 3rd quarter, with a whopping 32 point quarter, to lead 64-60 after 3 quarters.
A 9-0 run to start the 4th put NO up 73-60 and seemingly put the game. But the Knicks fired back with a 9-0 run of there own to cut the lead back to 4.
From there, Chris Paul and John Salmons took over making step back jumper after step back jumper to preserve a much needed big win for the Hornets.
Helluva game Dave.

very good game
imo, Bogut was MVP as i couldnt get shit going inside and it forced me to take a bunch of contested shots and get a bunch more blocked.

He put in 6 blocks and altered many others, controlling the paint defensively.

Re: NDL Hoops Season Thread
that's one thing i think is ridiculous about this game.
when you can't shoot perimeter shots you actually have less of a chance when you go inside, annnnnnnnd they never call fouls
bs

Re: NDL Hoops Season Thread
The Thunder and Wizards played a home and home today and they would split as both teams would win while on the road
1st game: The Thunder would get out to an early 10 point lead in the first half but then would have a cold shooting 3rd quarter that the Wizards would capitalize on and take an 8 point lead going into the 4th quarter. That would be erased quickly as OKC would go on a 9-0 run to start the 4th. Both teams would play back and forth basketball down the stretch but the Thunder would not be able to hit a 3 point when down by 3 and would be forced to foul. The Wizards would win 78-72 as Joe Johnson would be unstoppable scoring 34 points.
2nd game: Oklahoma City came out looking to get a split but and looked good in the first half as Wade would stop up after a horrible 1st game against the Wizards. The defense of the Thunder was impressive to as they would total 11 blocks (might be a season high), Jordan would account for 5 of those as he was a beast on the inside. The Wizards would have a terrible 2nd half after only trailing 37-32 at halftime they would only score 20 points the rest of the way and lose 67-52. Joe Johnson could not match his previous game as he was held to only 6 points on 3 of 16 shooting. Dwayne Wade who is getting used to posterizing guys had another nice one in this game (http://community.2ksports.com/community ... id=4696878
nice games VT!

Re: NDL Hoops Season Thread
kings take down magic
Great start from Jason Terry who began the game 4/5 and gave the Magic the lead before the Kings went on a big run in the 2nd quarter.
Tried to run the clock out too early and the Magic came back to cut the lead to 13, but a few key defensive plays preserved the lead and the Kings are back at .500

Re: NDL Hoops Season Thread
unreal game in memphis
Kings start the game 0/4 and Memphis takes advantage taking a 8-0 lead before Westphal calls a TO.
It got as bad as 12, but the Kings closed well to trail by 1 at halftime and by 4 entering the 4th.
Kings take a 5-point lead and hold on for dear life for the entire 4q. Up 4 with less than a minute left and it disappears, aided by a goaltending call when Jason Kidd was trying to rebound a missed shot.
Down 1 with :19.4 left, Sacramento has no offense going and think about a 3pt shot with Richardson, but a great closeout by Jared Dudley forces Richardson to put it on the floor but no rotation inside and JRich throws down a dunk with :05.4 left.
Grizz call TO and advance the ball, inbound it to stud PG Russell Westbrook who can't find anything and throws the ball into a crowd on the interior and it's knocked away as time expires.
great game!

Re: NDL Hoops Season Thread
kings-magic rematch ends with the same result, a Sacramento win.
Ben Gordon was 11/13 from the field at one point off the bench as AJ clearly mastered his shooting motion, but he got nothing from Jason Terry who kept the team in it in the first matchup.
Jason Richardson was a grotesque 6/20 from the field missing a ton of open shots, but emeka okafor showed some offensive talent which was a surprise
Terry missed a 3pt shot in transition when he was literally the only body on that side of the floor, which could have cut the deficit to 1. After that the Kings made FTs to extend the lead and Orlando never got close enough again.
great series aj

Re: NDL Hoops Season Thread
In my first NDL hoops game, I faced off with AJ and his tough Magic squad...
The Magic shot the 3 ball at a very high percentage 11-16 and it was always as the Suns would go on a little run. The Magic always seemed to be at least 8-10 points of the Suns all 2nd half. The Suns would turn the ball over 15 times, which doesnt help the cause one bit. Ty Lawson dropped 8 assists, but had 8 turnovers to go along with that.
Suns coach needs to figure out his team pretty quick....

Re: NDL Hoops Season Thread
Coach Jeffdaddy obviously didn't understand the criticism of his game with Nash considering his first two games with Durant he's avg'ng about 30 shots per game.
could be the quickest tenured coach in NDLH history.

Kevin Durant has been put in check by Coach Jeffdaddy and his shot attempts will be greatly reduced.DRiccio21 wrote:Coach Jeffdaddy obviously didn't understand the criticism of his game with Nash considering his first two games with Durant he's avg'ng about 30 shots per game.

Pistons lose in overtime, thanks to the Pistons only getting 7 FTs (and then dealing with the shaking screen on the important ones) while the Jazz get 22. Pistons also went 1/10 shooting in overtime as they could not buy a single foul call despite tons of contact on many shots. Stephen Jackson had a shot to win it in regulation but his midrange jumper rimmed out. John Wall did all he could, getting 9 pts, 14 assists, 4 boards, and 5 steals.

S14: N Texas 7-1
S15: Wake 8-5
S16-21: Washington 9-4, 10-3, 8-5, 9-4, 7-6, 6-7
S22: Ohio 8-5
S23: ECU 12-2
S24-26: Kentucky 8-5, 5-7, 5-7
Career: 102-61
