Sooo true, except I am for a full blown playoff.
Then don't expect to see very many great regular season matchups...like this one.
i disagree with this logic, but that argument is for another day/thread

Nope. He had two guys open on that play and wouldn't throw the ball.

Beamer needs to stop going to Tallahassee for his kickers.

if you do playoffs, that means no OOC games instead you simply play conference games until a winner is determined outright or in the divisions after a conference championship. Either that, or you play 2 FCS cupcakes then get into conference play...

so there goes FSU-UF, UGA-GT, USC-CLEM, UK-LOU, etc

and Herbstreit is saying it is an asset to his game. He moves the pocket looking for the open WR, but isnt afraid to tuck it and get the yards when they are there

:? :? :?

How is he not, hes carrying the Va Tech offense right now. Guy is looking to throw instead of just tuck it and is playing a good game so far.

He hasn't been all game. He has on this last drive. He was rattled earlier and was looking to run and not throw.

thats not necessarily true

for the top 10 teams from major conferences it may be the case but not for the rest of the teams trying to build a resume. it may actually force teams to play more games so they can get more marquee wins for the selection committee to seperate all the 9-3 type teams.

By not looking to throw you mean running for his life.

Agreed Dave.

There will still be big games and I highly doubt the major rivalries of ooc will be ended.

Momentum has gone over to the tech side...

Taylor has settle in nicely and his threat of running is allowing plays in the pass game and he is keeping his head up and making plays

There were a couple plays where he didn't even give the play a chance and broke out before there was any pressure and didn't see wide open guys.

So when does Boise go into that bag of tricks of theirs??

Kellen Moore just does not miss. Amazing touch and accuracy, fun to watch

two other points to debunk the 'there would be no good OOC games' myth.

a) the great teams now rarely play big OOC games anyways... a few each season, thats it.

b) if there was a tourney, there would be a much bigger emphasis on 'good wins' then just wins overall like we do now. similar to college hoops where a team might go 28-5 but play nobody and not make it over a team that goes 19-12 but plays alot of good teams.

c) piggybacking on point B, the teams that played more cupcakes would get lower seeds then teams that had more 'good' wins.
